VCPD || Retiring the use of the forum
« on: November 26, 2024, 14:09:18 pm »
Dear officers and citizens,

Due to the current state of the community, as well as the absolute inactivity of the ARPD forums, we have decided that the use of the ARPD forum has become redundant.

One of the reasons to use the forum would be inter-department communication and representation. However, given how VCPD is the only currently still operational ARPD branch, using the forum for us has become redundant, seeing how we're using Discord as our primary means of communication.

This means that everything related to the department will be communicated via Discord, and in game. The forums should no longer be considered as a primary source of information and will likely no longer be used. If in the future the forums will see any sort of revival, we will use it for public communication only.

The recruitment will be done in game.

The mentioned changes have another point: as our community is aging, and so are we, playing the game is something that we want to have fun with, not see as some sort of chore. I think it is no longer reasonable to expect the people in this department to dedicate their time to follow the forums and write reports. It is a game, and most of us come here to have fun, not to do chores. So we will find ways to do what we used to do within the confounds of Discrod and IG.
