Time and date of the events: July twenty first two thousand and twenty. Between 23:00 and 1am.
Description of the events:
On the evening of July twenty first, I, Richard Forge have received a phonecall from my long-term client, Madam Sue Gvardia. My client spoke to me in a terrified voice, barely able to make up a sentence. She begged me to come to Mission Row Police Station because she was being held there by two thugs.
Upon on my arrival i was met by an aggressively rude individual, wearing all black clothes with a hood over his head. Later i found out that he was actually employed by the LSPD- Stefan Gulucan.
Quickly after the very unpleasant interaction, i met LSPD Sergeant Mac Taylor who has been kind and helpful. After a quick security check i was brought to a room with my client.
I would like to highlight that an individual arrested by the LSPD has a right to legal representation. LSPD allowed my client only 10 minutes of legal guidance, which is a direct breach of civil right. We did not get enough time to discuss her case. Not to mention that after six minutes, employee Essam barged into the room, disturbing us, just to tell us that we have 'three minutes' left. I asked him to leave, as he had no reason to disturb us, especially since we barely started. Then the second, more aggressive individual (employee Stefan) barged into the room, shouting that we are out of time. Without a single word, my client was escorted out of the room. Employee Stefan, very rudely told me to leave the room because the meeting is over. I informed him that my client has a right to a lawyer and we weren't finished. I told him that i was invited into the room by Sergeant Mac and i will stay there until he comes back, as he was unavailable at that time. Employee Stefan got more aggressive, getting very close to me. I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. Eventually he took out his service pistol and held it in his hand, by his side. At that point i nearly had a heart attack, i did not know what this man was going to do, i was fearing for my life. I asked what is he doing. Before entry Sergeant Mac performed a frisk, making sure i an unarmed. I demanded the employee to identify himself. He said he was a 'Detective Stefan within LSPD AntiDrug Wing'. Upon glancing on his ID card, it very clearly said 'Cadet'. At that point, thankfully, Sergeant Mac entered the room. Shortly before that, employee Stefan put his pistol away. I requested more time to see my client and five minutes were granted to me, by LSPD Sergeant Mac.
After the time has passed, we were brought to the interview room where the questioning took place. Through the interview employees Stefan and Essam were laughing and making comments in the background, which can be head on the recording tape. Through the interview, Sergeant Mac referred to both employees as 'Officer', even though, multiple times, they claimed to be detectives. They both seemed very unprofessional for such a demanding position. After the interview, employee Essam has forcefully DRAGGED my client, Madam Gvardia, who was cuffed, wearing high heels and was willing to walk herself, out of the room into the jail.
Employees Essam and Stefan were both wearing civilian clothes with no badge clearly displayed. When arresting my client, Madam Gvardia, they simply pointed their automatic weapons at her, not identifying themselves. There was a single marked officer on the scene (LSPD Sergeant Mac Taylor) my client fled to her vehicle in order to seek cover as she though the two men were about to shoot her, not knowing they were employees within LSPD.
I have spoken to Senior Detective in Charge Johnson, who leads the Gang and Narcotics division within the bureau. He said that neither of the individuals are, or have ever been members of his unit and he has not authorised them to identify themselves as detectives within his division.
I'd like to summon Inspector Kowalski of the State Police to provide his testimony on whether these personnel are part of the Detective Bureau or if they're recognized as detectives.
My client and i both seek immediate action from leadership.
Due to the stress, my mental health as well as the mental health of my client have greately suffered. We will both need to attend therapy, and we expect LSPD to cover the costs.
Along with this complaint, i submit the audio footage from my audio recorder that has been recording during my presence at the station. I would also like to request MRPD indoor CCTV footage to be submitted into evidence.
Signed: R. Forge.

Dear Cadet Essam,
Firstly i would like to thank you for taking your time to read through this complaint and for leaving a reply. However, I am not satisfied with the response you provided, as it does not cover most of the points and arguments i have made in the complaint form.
First of all we showed our badge before arrest Sue.
Firstly, I will ask you to show some respect for my client. Madam Gvardia is not your friend. The response you submitted is an official document that will go on the record and I would like you you to either use her full name, Sue Gvardia or use an adequate title, in this case, Miss Gvardia. Secondly, my client states she has not been shown an LSPD badge by any of the two men, but instead, weapons have been pointed at her.
So that is a lie sir , and you can go to jail for it .
It most certainly is not a lie. However, i would like you to show me the Penal Code Statue, allowing you to arrest a citizen for 'lying'. No such statue exists. However, i could sue you for slander and defamation, Mr Essam. The statement you just made, clearly shows your lack of professionalism that myself and my client have both noted during our unpleasant visit to the Mission Row Station.
Second thing you got to proof that our officer stefean showed his gun , Why should we belive you after lies about our badge stuff sir ??
That is the reason why i requested for the indoor MRPD security tapes to be submitted into evidence.
However, im glad you brought 'proof' into your response, because the LSPD has still failed to submit any and all bodycam or audio evidence from the night of the 'arrest', which makes me believe it does not exist, unlike you have claimed.
And she just was trying to evade from us
Seeking shelter inside your own vehicle is not evading. Madam Gvardia tried to hide in the vehicle from the two aggressive males who were pointing weapons at her, not knowing they were members of the LSPD.
Our sergeant was there with a cursier and full uniform so she knew that is was LSPD
That is true, to some extent. My client was aware that the Sergeant Mac Taylor was with the LSPD, however she believed that he was stopping the two males who, i repeat once again, pointed weapons at her without ever revealing their identity.
Once again, my client and I are not satisfied with the response we received, as most of our concerns have not been addressed. Not to mention the lack of evidence submitted by the LSPD.
Yours faithfully, Richard Forge,
Forge Law Firm.
