Okay, ever since I download 0.3c, I got really horrible lag.
I thought its due to my mods, so I removed it and re-installed GTA. But I still lag.
Does anyone experience this? Is there any solution?
Any kind of suggestion or help is welcome as this is pure game lag, my ping is same as before. And I'm not able to play on the server due to this.
EDIT: Just to note, this started only since 0.3c. On 0.3b I never had this problem.

Well , I was lagging as well , anybody knows how to fix this?
-
It works fine for me.
-
i lag too......
-
I'm sure SA-MP team noticed this and will make a fix for it

From what I have read so far, the people at the community told "Buy a new PC"
Problem is, I'm not into gaming so much... buying a new PC just for 0.3c.... :/
For others try /fpslimit 100
This is all I could find so far.

CTRL+ALT+DEL then for the task manager, then go to processes and end all tasks that you dont need. especially ones that are taking up your ram

Very Smart advice.

BTW I did it, still doesn't remove the lag, I think its virus or smthing. ;)

CTRL+ALT+DET then for the task manager, then go to processes and rightclick on gtasa.exe, then click "set affinity" and select all cores.
gtasa.exe is by default running on 1 core.

Still no success. Thanks for the suggestion though, didn't know of this possibility.

For others try /fpslimit 100
It enables frame limiter, better just try turning it completely off in settings.
-
Well, tried what all I knew.. nothing works.. trying to play like this.
I cant take part in shootouts now though, went to one today, my game lag got me down in matter of seconds.

That happens to me a lot, it gets annoying :hit:
-
yea well my game ran perfectly on 0.3b... But O.3c has ruined the fun of roleplaying with all these unwanted major lags. And very few people have this problem so i dont suppose samp will bring any 'fix' for it.
-
Okay got a temporary solution...
But for those of you having better computer than mine it maybe be a permanent solution!
I tested this on a 50 player argonath, however the lags I have are FPSish (game lag).
So what I did was, I read through other communities for the problem same as this, and found players with low end PC and even high end PCs have problems with the new 0.3c. One of them suggested to download to THIS (http://game-booster.en.softonic.com/). I did, played around with its settings, and started it after running SAMP.
Result was it did considerably lower the lag. Atleast I didnt have MAJOR lags anymore. My lag is now bearable, hopefully I'll be able to take part in shootouts and stuff again :)
Try it out and let me know! Atleast those have 2 core processors will find their game back to normal I guess.
:ps: Sorry for double post :<

U dont know any idea how much i love you now. When i joined Argonath ( 1.3.2010 ) untill this day i had annoying lags, especially lagzones, lag spikes, everything and now its fixed! MUCH LOVE :)

Oh well, my major lag got back. I've given up on fixing it unless I get a new PC, though few players with high end PC have this FPS like since 0.3c too.
I really don't know how I will be able to play on Argonath like this.
-
Since players with high-end PC's lag too, then this must be a 0.3c issue and I think a fix will be released soon by SAMP Devs.
-
very few high end pc ppl have the problem. Most of ppl have no problems, so I doubt a fix will be released.
-
I had this problem to, but i all did was restart my computer to proper way by clicking startbutton>restart , idk if it will help you but it helped me and i have no lagg in samp and vcmp
-
You also could try installing GTA SA in a new directory. Your directory should be something like this:
C:/Program Files/Rockstar games/GTA San Andreas
You should try this:
C:/Program Files/GTA San Andreas
I really hope this helps.

I'll try the re-installing later after my exams when I'm jobless.

Did the same , I think its only way to reduce the lag for me.

SA-MP released 0.3c R2, which removes the objects. I tested it IG, and it reduced lag for me "for now" on a 100 player Argonath server, hope it stays that way.
for more information regarding this, link: http://forum.sa-mp.com/showthread.php?t=205568 (http://forum.sa-mp.com/showthread.php?t=205568)
I downloaded it as the objects are no use to me if I cant even type or walk without lag.
-
Soph, Tried removing Car mods ?
-
He told he tried removing all the modifications. I think it's problem of the new objects added in the 0.3c Version of SA:MP.

Soph, Tried removing Car mods ?
I re-installed my GTA... but I had to install my police skin mod and lvpd cruiser mod.
It doesn't matter, its a problem with samp patch.
On 0.3b I had 10 mods running on "medium" settings and a very smooth gameplay.
0.3c fresh gta on lowest settings with massive lag

I use a laptop, not a gaming one, a normal 1.9GHZ Dual Core processor, 3GB of RAM
I play the game on 1024x768 32 bit colour and it works fine.
One thing to add, the Visual FX settings are useless in my opinion, change it to 'low' and the game quality basically does not change, but the FPS increases massively. Try it.
