Ah the classic 211, one of the fastest kinds of situations we have to experience as officers. Depending on the type of course.
I'm talking about those speeding and seemingly unplanned ones, the ones that happen when you're doing a traffic stop and someone rolls up random and yells 'THIS IS A ROBBERY!' and than points an MP5 at a civilian. What do you do in these situations?
Honestly I have two kinds of responses for these kinds of situations.
a.) Tell the civilian to get down and warn the thief to lower their weapon. They don't do it? Tell the civilian to bolt and open fire on the crim' His putting someones life in danger and wielding a heavy weapon. (Not to mention armour) Although this seems rash, it is all in the defence of preserving life.
b.) Comply and give the thief the money, then they'll probably try and kill you anyways.
What's your take on these kinds of situations? I understand RP with the crim' and all but getting a gun in my face is not my kind of RP sometimes. Especially when I'm sleepy
Apologies to homeboy123, tried to rob me with MP5, combat and armour? Aimed at a civilian and me? Wasn't really in the mood for forced DM, hence I unloaded with combat and killed you.

I would call back up, then I would try to gain some time by speaking with robber until Backups come. Then when back ups are here (or even if no backups coming) I would do like you, tell citizen to get down and open fire on criminal as he his aiming with heavy weapon with clear intent to injure/kill.
But imo if I would be robber I wouldn't rob people with cops... for reason I stated above. I would find someone alone in nowhere and as soon as I see cops comming I run away to avoid to be arrested/killed .

I'd aim at the robber so he keeps looking at me, then another cop sprays him from behind, I shout at the citizen to get down, and perhaps we can arrest him or shoot him dead, if he shoots.

Someone rocks up, (mind this was a time with 30 people on server) and tries to hold me hostage with a MP5. There's a civilian that may get hurt, I will do everything possible to defend this civilian and what Brokman said is basically my idea exactly.
