Here you can recommend or discuss a TV or Film featuring Law Enforcement
Southland(TV)
I've been watching this show since it aired in 2009, and am glad it got picked up by another network after it was cancelled.
Unlike other shows, It features Patrol Officers on regular calls. It's very realistic and often shows things that often occur in Argonath.
The Closer(TV)
Another very realistic show. Like most shows, it focuses on Detectives solving Crimes.
It also includes some humor but not to make the LAPD look bad. All Cops have humor.
Blue Bloods(TV)
A New Show for 2010 featuring Tom Selleck as the NYPD Police Commissioner.
This show also has storylines with Crime Solving, Patrol Duties and Administration of the NYPD.
CSI Series(TV)
Fans of the Show wanting to be Real CSI's would be disappointed.
A Good show but not very realistic. I like CSI Miami out of the three.
Street Kings(Film)
A Film Directed by the Writer of Training Day and it definatly shows.
Another Film about the LAPD and Corruption. Keanu Reeves stars and trained in firearms for the Film.
S.W.A.T.(Film)
Another great Film, widely known in Argonath. Almost everyone has a signature of avatar from the Film.
Argonath S.W.A.T. should not be afraid to go the extra step to catching criminals like these guys.
Inside Man, 16 Blocks & Phone Booth(Film)
A realistic portrail of the NYPD in these Films, especially the ESU/SWAT.

The Cape(TV)
It's sort of a comic-book series superhero theme mixed with law enforcement. The show is relatively new, but pretty cool. It's not completely realistic, so some may not enjoy it. Jenn (aka Laura) referred me to this show and I freaking love it. In one night I got myself caught up to the latest episode and it's already one of my favorites now.
Dark Blue(TV)
Excellent show that was recently cancelled, although it's still hiding across the internet. It was about a LAPD undercover team that did large narcotics and weapons busts, among other things, all while undercover. The officers were mostly ex-criminals who had bettered themselves to become police officers, and they tended to show their "dark" side when going undercover, hence the show's name. They later also became part of a LAPD-FBI Joint Task Force, in which they began to also take on federal crimes while undercover, such as drug smuggling and terrorist threats.

Also, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. Simply amazing.

Supertroopers!
Great movie! #2 comes out this year I believe.
Another good movie: CRASH. It's about racism and stereotypes within the community, and covers many different forms of policing. It's not strictly about cops, but it has alot to do with them indirectly. Many police academies, including my own, say this is a must-see.

I liked this show too. I watched it later on TV, but I mostly watch shows online as soon as they air in the US.
Hawaii Five-0(TV)
Also new to 2010, been watching this too. Never heard of Alex O'Laughlin, but he definatly shows good skill with a Gun. Believeable as a Navy SEAL. I like how Five-0 can afford a fancy car like a Chevrolet Camaro.

My favourite cop show ever:
Martial Law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martial_Law_(TV_series)) (TV)
It's about a chinese cop working in a America with a black detective. Did I mention that the chinese cop is small and fat and kicks everyones ass!? It's awesome! Kinda cheesy fight scenes, but the chinaguy is in plenty of Jackie Chan films so he can move! It's pretty funny too.
hot fuzz!!!!!!!!!!
Definitely the best cop film!

This show actually used to be on back in the 80's or so.

Flashpoint (TV)
Awesome show about a tactical unit based in Canada, still running. Essentially a TV show about a SWAT team that has been trained in social interaction, aswell as the usual SWAT skills.
Hawaii Five-O (TV)
A revamp of an old and legendary series. More about a taskforce based in Hawaii, without any boundries.
