There aren't even words for the incredible cooperation and respect I've witnessed today. At exactly 8:46 A.M. Eastern Standard Time, the exact moment of the first attack on 9/11, users participated successfully in a 10 second moment of silence, despite the server being chaotic. What amazed me even more was that just minutes after, an unorganized, incompletely planned idea for a memorial parade turned into a giant, highly successful event. ARPD, FBI, CIA, MGI, ARFD, EMS, ADF, USAA, UA, civilians, gang members, mafia members, admins, and various others, completely cooperating and being respectful despite an extremely bad server lag, united into a large line of over 100 players, parading in their vehicles, code 3 slowly for those that could, moving across all of Los Santos. Between my command, Morgan_Hudson's awesome leadership as the primary unit, and all the various, unasked-for assistance from everyone blocking the roads for the parade's protection, I can't even begin to describe how impressed I am. This had to have been one of the most amazing RP's I've seen in Argonath's history, and it's been a very long time since I've seen something so large go over so well in any Argo server.
I want to extend a personal thank you to everyone involved, especially Morgan_Hudson for her unplanned, very-well driven leadership to making a path for over 100 users to follow as she went along, and another special extension of my gratitude to all the civilians and gang/mafia members who, completely on their own, joined in to honor this day without conflict. There may not have been a crime-free event today, but this is definitely better than anything I've seen in a long time. I'm very proud of everyone, and the cooperation is beyond words for how well it went. I have a few pics, and I will be posting this on the Argonath, ARPD, ARFD, and EMS forums, but anyone else who was there, please feel free to add in your comments and media.
Again, thank you all for the incredible memorial event today. Even from those of you not affected by 9/11 directly, or those not even from the United States, the respect given, and the cooperation upheld, was more than amazing. You have all done an excellent job. :)
Check out the radar, as well as the images. Due to lag, vehicles don't appear as well-organized as they actually were. Overall, everyone did an awesome job!:
