Title: DPD Returns in GTA V

Dan Houser: I've got to be real careful here, or they will drag me through the office and whip me with barbwire. I will stick to exactly what's in the press release. It's Los Santos and the surrounding countryside - and a very big map."

Damn , DPD got lucky, not like LVPD or SFPD ;s

Post by: Sushi on December 26, 2011, 10:16:03 am: They spoke of a very big map. There were multiple planes, someone had the theory that perhaps we may be able to fly to Vice City or/and Liberty City. I'm sure if it's a big map, they'll have San Francisco and Las Venturas there as well.

Post by: Leonardo on December 26, 2011, 13:48:28 pm: I remember people speaking about only Los Angeles and the surronding countyside and that the map would be more than twice as big as whole Liberty City of GTA IV, for example. I do not know if there will be any space left for other cities with such a map..

DETAILS OF THE PICTURES:
If you see on the "Possible MAP" and look below in the shadow background, you'll spot palm trees, which is a detail that refers to L.A(Or as in GTA, Los Santos). Also, as Dan Houser said above that the Country side will be HUGE! You can see many different county towns on the map. Dillimore, Palomino Creek, Blueberry, Montgomery probably.

But the little island? Where did that come from?

If you look to the "Possible Gameplay" picture, you'll spot that the character is white? And still we see in the trailer that a black guy is running away from the cops, also if I am right, you see that it is a black guy that evades from the police in a red sport car. But, in the beginning of the trailer, the voice "Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather..." was a white males voice probably.

And as you see in the background of the picture, it is palm trees which is probably from Los Santos. Also if you look down to the left corner, you see that the HUD mod looks exactly the same as in GTA IV, the differences is that the armour and health bar is light blue(aqua) and orange, but the graphic shows twice as better as in GTA IV.

Also on the "Gameplay" you can look a little bit above the blue buildning with yellow stripes at the blades, you'll see a building that is white/silver with dark windows... Is that Star Tower?

I think San Andreas still remains the biggest map of all the games, if I'm not wrong, this is not bigger. One of the reasons I love the San Andreas map so much, is because it's so damned big. If that's the map in GTA V, I'd be thoroughly unimpressed.

Los Santos is being based off of Los Angeles, so I doubt Dillimore would be there this time. The surrounding countryside would be Los Angeles County, remade.

Possibly, if they use the same naming scheme that Los Angeles and Los Angeles County do IRL.

They might. They've been slowly expanding over the years to include more than just Caucasian, male peds and players. One day we might even see a female player as the main character in GTA. :)

Chilliad's redo based upon the scenery we know for sure that its LS and its surrrounding countryside but for all we know they probably havent even finished SF or LV yet for the trailer remember most companies realease a teaser if u would or a small sample of the map/gameplay so who knows maybe SF and LV will be added (I hope) one of the things im really wondering is the storyline now dont get me wrong GTA IV was alright but dammit it was no were near as good as the old classics like Vice City San Andreas or even GTA III

i hope rockstar gets there heads right on this one but who knows? guess well just have to wait for the realease date :/

That means that DPD Might make a come back at GTA V.
As far for LSPD/LAPD there might be Lots of PD Bases thro the whole city.
Wich means that LSPD Might have like LSPD Station 1,LSPD Station 2 Etc...
And that builds up the loss of SFPD,LVPD...
And Rstar ain't giving much info about GTA V.
For now this is all guessing :neutral:.
