Title: Radio Communications.
Post by: Rusty. on November 30, 2013, 23:23:02 pm
Recently a issue was brought up by numerous player's that some members of SAPD would rather not update the in-game radio so those who do not have TeamSpeak are left without any updates regarding to pursuits or situations such as kidnapping and barricaded suspects.  That being said, TeamSpeak is not our main form of communication, in-game radio is not everyone has the ability to use Teamspeak like most of us here do.  Yes it's much more easier to update people with but you are neglecting those who are in-game and has no clue what is going on.  If someone asks for a update in-game and you are on TS giving them, don't come away with "we're on TS updating not my problem you ain't got it" what kind of lame attitude is that towards others?.

The moral of this story is - Update in-game radio, if you are solo fair enough you can't always give accurate updates but if you are with someone or multiple people you have no excuse to update fellow Officers.

Thank you for bringing this up Cpt. Rusty. There has been lot of Officers neglecting the radio in game and instead updating on the TeamSpeak, which of course doesn't even reach all the Officers in game and violates our regulation. In game radio is the primary radio, but think of TeamSpeak as a source of communication with your partner, like a "partner talk" But all other police and necessary information must be transmitted over the in game radio. This is how it's always been. This is something SAPD must work on fixing, because it can costs lives and also confusion to others in game.

Nice to see that this is being challenged. I must say that every time I've been on Argonath recently the radio has been pretty dead.
