As it's been a while since we last had a department wide meeting, it's time to gather all personnel and answer any questions that some of you may have as-well as inform you of recent updates and all that good stuff. Starting this month, we'll be aiming to schedule monthly meetings that will take place in-game, purpose of this is to answer any questions people may have and provide updates to current affairs that SAPD has on-going during that month. In hope we can improve over-all communications and have a more positive image rather than neglecting to inform Officers on what's happening.
Anyone from SAPD Officer+, if you can suggest a Date & Time that most suits you.
If this weekend proves popular then we'll do it then.
SATURDAY 25TH 2014 - 19:00 CET

Currently in my examinations, only availible end january. Sorry guys.
-
I can only be available on Saturdays.
-
Been heavily inactive with school and collegiate sports. However, whenever a date is determined I would prefer it to be a weekend date most likely Saturday or Sunday. Our first month of games is played away from home, so a date to be set before January 31st, which is our first game would work out perfectly, otherwise I cannot attend as I will be traveling. Look forward to seeing everyone there!
Regards,
Joe

Questions people had asked will be left out as they were mainly aimed at recruitment and SAPD training matters. Though one interesting one was asked.
"how do we know people close to mike won't get special treatment?"
- Simply put, Mike isn't like that. You don't have to take my word, though it's true Mike isn't one to single out friends above other.
Current Status Of SAPD:
As of RS5, SAPD has been in a slow decline of activity compared to what we showed during RS4. We've had many resignations at the end of 2013, a few command staff members had moved on to further studies as-well as some of our Senior Officers having little time to contribute to SAPD anymore. Recently we have removed inactive staff members who failed to respond to activity calls via Private Message from our Sergeants. With that any Probationary Officers we had will move up to the rank of Senior Officer, a select couple have been brought in to take on the role also as they are seen fit enough to carry our the work at hand. Over time SAPD will regain it's status of being a elite Police Force, this can only be achieved by the help of YOU, you guys make the difference everyone is apart of SAPD and your voice won't be ignored as it has in the past I will guarantee you that.
Recruitment:
Chief Mike has been working on a new system for our Recruitment as the one we have is now obsolete. We hope to roll it out very soon so those eager to join SAPD and further up the rank ladder can do so. Along with that, training for Probationary Officers has under-gone a change, we are aiming for a more life-like way to thing's. Probationary Officers will be taken on ride-alongs by Senior Officers (who are FTO's) they will assess how you do during the course of the patrol/day they are with you. Afterwards a recommendation will be posted on your file, where you can read it and take note of what it is you need to work on and what not. If you receive three good recommendations you will then be able to sit a final exam given by a Staff/Training Sergeant.
Divisions:
SAPD from this moment on has three divisions operating Officially. S.W.A.T, Air Division and Special Investigations recently we merged the Gang and Narcotics unit into ASID as we don't wish to waste more resources as we are limited as of this time. Joining a division is limited to Senior Officer's you can show interest to each one by submitting a letter of interest from the top navigation bar on the Forum, alternatively you get invited.
