Title: ESA - Emergency Services Academy

In order to stimulate roleplay among emergency service agencies I've decided to bring back the idea of an additional academy. In this case for all emergency services, including law enforcement. We officer free sessions and an exam at the end of each course. We're still looking for experienced instructors. So if you're interested, just drop me a PM.

Hopefully we'll get the support to make this project successful and raise an experienced force, together with EMS and Firefighters.

We offer the following courses for Law Enforcement officers:

(1) Preparing for patrol (getting car ready, gearing up)
(2) Traffic stop
(3) Felony stop
(4) Pursuit tactics
(5) K9 training
(6) Bike patrol
(7) Air patrol
(8) Investigations
(9) How to collect evidence properly
(10*) Basic roadblocks
(11*) Checkpoints
(12) Radio communication
(13) Social interaction

This is great!
But I also have a small question.
We also want officers to have medical knowledge.
Speed is the key to succes, and we all know there isn't a lot of EMS available.
Why don't we (the PD) have the courses: 'BLS' and 'First Aid'?
I made an application for those courses but as branch i chose: EMS.
It'd be better if you also had those courses for the PD.

Considered this but I remember getting some first aid in the academy back in the day, and I didn't want to take any work away from the actual SAPD instructors.
(Same goes with traffic stops, but those are 'advanced classes' and will contain more tactics than the regular lessons would. Small difference but can prevent a vital outcome.

For Ben and Dean. We the academy instructors and lead instructor DarkShadowBlade are planning in a global training as you have already noticed and currently we are working on the basics of first aid and this will also be teached in the field during DSB his global training so don't sorry about that.
