Title: Large shortage
Post by: LukeN on December 12, 2014, 18:06:40 pm
I don't know what you guys think. But it would seem us as the SAPD are being over run by criminals who just want to kill. and 'rp'. Lets face it their RP is shocking. And being the only officer on the server against 12 criminals is not helpful. I dont think I can die anymore. I feel we need to start working together again as a real department. A lot of us including myself have not been around and actvity has dropped. But as the criminal scene is on the rise we can do nothing but work together and rise again. I had a new officer on duty today and all he wanted to do was ram people on his bike and drive stupidly fast with his lights and sirens on where have the old days gone. I hope its jsut becasue of the time of day. But this isn't right we need the department back running like it used to.

Brought this up about 4 months ago as well. Couldn't agree with you more.

We'll always have the cops who want to f**k around and just run head on into situations without bothering to think.  Quite a few around here already work together to keep shit tight in-game, others could follow their example and apply it when they are on duty.  It doesn't take a Sergeant or whatever to keep people in line but someone who shows they are capable of doing it without being asked or having to ask to do it.  Coming to the forum to talk about it doesn't solve the problem can only be solved by in-game actions.

Did the 12 criminals shot you accross the map ? Otherwise you simply went in to them, knowing you are outgunned and outmanned and that is the obvious reason you died for.

And if you feel that you are undermanned and undergunned, use your communications(Skype/MSN and etc..) and call in some people to organise a patrol and handle it, that's how you bring up Argonath's activity.

As a trained officer, you are not supposed to be rambo in those kind of situations, even if you think you can take them on. It is true that right now we don't have adequate manpower, but creating this topic isn't going to make any difference, right now we are all on the same boat. I highly recommend you step up and get involved in something again. It doesn't have to be a division, work with what you have, such as organize patrols, checkpoints, trainings in game.

Well indeed this happens alot but what i do mostly myself is waiting or at least contacting people who are active officers with the knowledge of handling situations. This does not help every time but at least better then moving in alone. Just my opinion.

I agree that these things do happen, and this isn't only a matter of SAPD. It's the matter of the whole ARPD SA. We must all work together to improve the current situation.

This is completely not true. Past 7 days, I've had constant backup,I was never alone in any case. There is always officers out there to assist if you actually have a tendency use police radio and communicate.

All those people who claim uh duh I'm alone, it's simple fact you do not interact with other officers, roam around by your self's and have an equal ending in scenarios.

Wanna disagree with me, go check December organised patrols topic ,and try to prove me wrong afterwards.
