Dear citizens, colleagues and friends,
I am grateful for the unconditional friendship, gratitude and support I received during my last 5 years serving in the San Andreas Police Department as an officer and deputy chief. After reinstating in 2013, I have seen our community and our department go through some very tough times. The department was in the brink of shutting down due to inactivity, instability and insecurity among staff and officers. There were doubts to even continue any efforts to sustain it. This did not stop us, it actually motivated us to reform the department’s structure, procedures and guidelines to correlate with the community and the server. Now we have reconstructed the branches, divisions and sub-divisions with a structure that has been solidified to uphold the core operations of the police force. We have come a long way in our journey as one of the largest metropolitan police departments in the entire Argonath community. I am proud to say that this emerging department has a very bright future with new generations of officers preparing to lead, protect and serve our community. So shortly after taking office, I started with an agenda with my colleagues that aimed to develop the fundamental aspects of the department, it included improving our cooperation with the FBI to do more combined training, share intelligence, skills, expertise and resources that aid in our goal to fight crimes as one united law enforcement group. We were able to accomplish just that with FBI working with us side to side in most of our combined operations. I also wanted the public to have a bigger role in sharing their ideas, questions and concerns along with being informed of the departmental changes, so I proposed a public affairs office within our department. Although this development was suspended, we are still working our way to establish an office just for public affairs because we find its very important as a police community. In the midst of all this, there was still a huge gap in the senior command leadership, which caused us give the senior command roles to the Supervisory Sergeants and Sergeants to fulfill, in which they did wonderfully running and administrating the department’s operations. I really cannot ask for more motivated and hardworking command team who kept our vision to always hold the police force and our community together through a positive relationship with our fellow citizens, government officials and officers. I am also proud to say that their determination, energy and effort into their duties really paid off, because they were able to complete all of their assigned tasks and provide leadership without direct supervision from their superiors. Which means they are ready to make bigger decisions and take newer challenges as part of their work.
As much as I would like to continue to take part in this wonderful journey, this department needs a full time upper command, particularly at this time where it is undergoing changes with new plans and ideas. Since June, I have enrolled in a full time four year university to study Computer Information Technology. This caused my activity to drop profoundly, especially near the end of summer. Despite that, I continued to hold meetings with the command staff and keep up with everyone. I apologize to those who I was not able to reach, just know it was not intentional, I tried my best.
It has been a great honor and a privilege to serve as your Deputy Chief. I hope to see this great department and its staff continue to prosper. I know there are a lot of you who are interested in joining this department, so I ask you to pursue your career with vigor and enthusiasm, never let anyone mislead you. Check this forum, it has been revised over the years with all the theoretical knowledge you need to learn about this profession. You can also ask any of our officers, staff or any experienced community member, as an international community, we are diverse and many are bilingual, so you got no excuse. :cop: Lastly, I want to congratulate Rashid King (Drix) taking his office as your new Chief. I have known him for a long time, he is definitely someone you can count on and rely on. So I have full faith the department is in good hands.
Remember to ask not what your department can do for you, but what you can do for your department.
