Vice City Police Department
ACADEMY

Application: Ray Corbin

1. Name and Lastname:
Ray Corbin
2. Previous Names (if any):
RazorX
3. Age:
19

4. How long have you been playing Argonath RPG VCMP?:
Since 2008, with some inactivity periods inbetween.
5. Why would you like to join the Vice City Police Department?:
Cop job is what I like best. I want to work with other officers to bring down criminals and keep law and order.
6. Why do you think you are a suitable candidate to become a VCPD Cadet?:
I was in the VCPD before and have have a lot of experience working as a police officer. I have passed the academy twice before and would like to ask to be reinstated.

7. Have you ever had any criminal ties in Vice City? If so, please explain:
Absolutely not. I would never. I despise criminals.
8. Do you have any previous experience in other Argonath RPG Police Departments?:
I was first accepted in 2012, where I made it to Officer rank before being removed for inactivity. I then was accepted again in 2016 and made it to Sergeant rank before being discharged.
9. Do you agree to follow VCPD Procedures and Regulations as well as server rules?
Yes, I have already passed the police academy twice and pratically know the in's and out's of all procedures.

@Huntsman I know I f**ked up massively and I regret the way I handled myself earlier this year when I was discharged. I was pissed off for a number of reasons but my actions were out of order and uncalled for. I'm willing to let bygones be bygones and put what happened behind us so that I can once again help the VCPD. I spoke to Klaus and Kessu about what happened and I realised the way I acted was not professional in any shape or form. I'm happy to speak to you in private on discord if you want.

APPLICATION NOTED

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for the application, in the meantime, in order to boost your chances, you should remain active and be involved with the team. As an applicant of the department, you are now obliged to follow VCPD Regulations. Note that failure to follow the Procedures and Regulations may decrease your chances of being accepted.

I'm sure its obvious to you as to why this might take some time for us to decide if you are getting back into the academy. I'm all up for retribution, and it might take a while until we make our final decision, so use that time patiently, and prove us that you really mean what you say.

Good luck and hope to see you in the academy!

Deputy Chief DaniGold
VCPD HQ

Right,

I am no longer the Chief seeing how I've recently resigned and am currently waiting for it to be processed. I expressed a very strict standing that if you were to return, reinstatement is out of the question, as it's offered only to those who have been honorably discharged. You are right, your actions were uncalled for and unprofessional.

The decision, however, is now up to DaniGold who assumes the role of acting Chief. He is the one you need to convince.

Okay tell me, what have changed in you in the previous time, the time you were kicked from VCPD till now?

You always had arrogance issues, and not complying with the rest of command staff members, you were always having problems?

Tell me how you will avoid that in future, IF you're accepted? How can you make sure that you'll work with the rest of command staff collaboratively & you'll accept your senior's orders?

Okay tell me, what have changed in you in the previous time, the time you were kicked from VCPD till now?
Since being removed from VCPD I took a break from the game and gave myself time to reflect on what happened. After some time I was approached by Klaus and we spoke about what happened and why things happened the way they did. I also had a short conversation with Kessu as well. After this I realised my actions were uncalled for and out of order. As I said I was pissed off for a number of reasons but after some time everything became more clear to me. I should of acted more professionally. I lost my cool and let myself and the VCPD down. Hopefully I'll be able to make amends with you all.
You always had arrogance issues, and not complying with the rest of command staff members, you were always having problems?
I don't remember having any arrogance issues but if you can give some examples that would help. I was on good terms with the command staff until the whole mess over the shotgun incident. At least that is what I felt.
Tell me how you will avoid that in future, IF you're accepted? How can you make sure that you'll work with the rest of command staff collaboratively & you'll accept your senior's orders?
I've always taken orders from my seniors. If the chief, captains, or whoever told me to do something I would do it. At the time while I was Sgt. my only seniors were Huntsman and Hype and again I don't remember ever not working with them or ignoring them if they told me to do something.

During my stay in the PD, this Sgt. was the friendliest, kindest and most motivating person ever! This guy even reflected on himself and talked to people about himself and some things he could fix, and that's a sign of a true, worthy member!

Give him a chance at reinstatement, he's a great guy!

Had a fun conversation with him a few days ago.

I agree that he was quite arrogant before, but, I didn't see a hint of arrogance in him while I had a session of gameplay with him.
Dude's probably changed, so good luck!

It is rather interesting how people change when you no longer hold power over them.

Do not think even for a moment that just because I've left you will now be able to go off your leash. Me and Dani have a very similar outlook when it comes to certain matters. I wouldn't have resigned if I did not know that I left the department in good hands.

Stop trying to get back at me. It will backfire, and backfire good. Your overall attitude and tendency to provoke those who are on the opposite fence of your role is anything but a trait that a member of VCPD should possess.
Title: Re: VCPD: Ray Corbin
Post by: RazorX on April 24, 2018, 16:49:55 pm
I'm just surprised how quickly people change. I remember in the past we would speak about our dislike to those VCPD members who would quit VCPD only to turn criminal immediately afterwards. To see you now do the same just surprised me, and gave me alongside other cadets such as killer etc. to feel a little betrayed that's all. I think you can understand that since not only the reputation you had here but the rank you held too. Don't forget you also flamed me and got warned for that so you're not an angel either. As I said I won't say anything more to you, as I feel enough has been said already. Good luck with your criminal life.

Title: Re: VCPD: Ray Corbin
Post by: Huntsman on April 24, 2018, 23:31:37 pm
I assume you have not read my resignation.
I did not "turn" criminal. I simply treat the game as a place I have fun in during little free time I have, which means I do whatever the hell I  want, whether its  criminal, cop or legal. I earned that right after a year of tiring, frustrating but successful and loyal service to the department. People who needed to know were let know several months in advance of my intentions.

Get your facts right before you jump to conclusions and spread misinformation. You are a good cop otherwise on the field, but your attitude is something you need to fix, because I still see no change whatsoever.

Also im a witness, i can confirm it was a do or die situation, i can also provide the logs where you talked about it, and it was my fault for not suspecting both of you guys sooner... (accidentally pressed enter in the maverick).
Title: Re: VCPD: Ray Corbin
Post by: Kessu on April 28, 2018, 01:15:19 am
Cops are required to suspect a criminal before opening fire on them.

But Sup is correct in one thing, this is not the place for a complaint.

Complaints have their own board so use it or shut it.
Title: Re: VCPD: Ray Corbin
Post by: Huntsman on April 28, 2018, 11:36:46 am
I will not punish officers when they're faced with the "fight or die suspecting" dillema. Administration may choose to do othewise, but VCPD will not issue department punishments because we believe it is unfair and in most cases a result of piss poor roleplay.
Title: Re: VCPD: Ray Corbin
Post by: RazorX on April 28, 2018, 13:21:55 pm
Yeah, Sean tried to kill me with a chainsaw but missed. I killed him and then his mate tried to kill me with a stubby. Both failed. Sadly Sup was unable to sus them in time as he fell out of his helicopter.

You are good in pursuit and combat as well. But you need to learn VCPD weapon producers.

Quote
10.3.1 VCPD Officer must make sure not to injure or otherwise place in danger officer/citizen lives with the use of their firearms.
Quote
10.6. VCPD Officer is not allowed to use his weapons against innocent citizens.

And I was not warned for anything.
Quote
10.5. VCPD Officer must warn the suspect ten seconds before opening fire.

Quote
10.8. VCPD Officer is allowed to open fire on a suspect evading in a vehicle without a warning.
As additional :I was not even suspected. So hence; You killed an innocent/passerby.

Dead man don't talk but this is breach of regulations and its expected to see what exactly applicant is doing around.
Title: Re: VCPD: Ray Corbin
Post by: RazorX on April 28, 2018, 14:21:03 pm
You weren't innocent, you were aiding Docwood. radon was a witness so can testify if needed. The server warning was valid as you weren't suspected, but it doesn't make you innocent.

I always supported you and saw you as a friend, but lately you're only proving Sevrin's decision was right. Someday you'll realise your mistake. All the best mystic.
Title: Re: VCPD: Ray Corbin
Post by: Huntsman on April 28, 2018, 14:32:42 pm
As I already mentioned, I will never punish officers when they are forced to "suspect and die or fight and get warned" situation when criminal suddenly opens fire. It is unfair and puts ciminals at advantage, especially seeing how the shots fired pop up doesnt work as it should. Ofcourse, that does not mean that those who abuse this policy of mine will be free to roam. No, I am not stupid.

You are not entitled to any warnings as soon as you open fire towards anyone.

As per High Command agreement, you will only have to take Session 2 and may then take the officer examination. We see no point training you in other areas that we think you are more than competent.

However, do keep in mind that this good-willingness of ours may very quickly end if you jump back to your previous habits. We expect you to be able to give some respect where it's due and drop the smart-ass attitude when it comes to your superiors, other officers and other players as a whole.

This is the last compromise we will make. The next time I will have to resort to measures I had to last time, the doors for you will be closed for quite a while.

48 hour tempban and a final warning given to the specified applicant over deathmatching.

Killing players who have not been suspected for a crime will not be allowed.

Post by: RazorX on May 01, 2018, 16:41:20 pm
I am pretty sure that most people would have reacted in a similar fashion if someone ran at them with a chainsaw/or stubby. Anyway I accept the ban, though i agree with Huntsman that it can be unfair,I'm only protecting myself from certain death in the end. Im future I will try my best to avoid killing unsuspected criminals (yes that is what they are, not 'inmocents')
Title: Re: VCPD: Ray Corbin
Post by: Huntsman on May 01, 2018, 21:53:36 pm
Ii agree with Huntsman that it can be unfair

Do not misinterpret or misuse those words of mine as a green light to become completely careless regarding the issue. They are in no way a justification for those actions, but a mere explanation as of what leads to it. People will still be punished if it becomes something excessive from their side. You should be especially cautious regarding this, seeing how the reason that started all the crapfest on your desk last time was directly related to similar actions. Besides, I have clearly stated that it's how I see it, and that administration may and will most likely choose to see it otherwise. Remember that excessive administrational punishments/getting banned from the server may also lead to VCPD repercussions.

You still MUST suspect criminals before shooting. Knock them down if needed, then go, take cover and suspect. Use whatever means neccesary to prevent killing them while unsuspected.

I am done repeating myself. You're not part of VCPD, you hardly play, your opinion on these matters is not needed and only adds fuel to fire. I will ensure to help you refrain from posting since you do not seem to be able to do so yourself.

This also applies to others who spoke their minds here. If you have no idea what you are talking about, shut it. I have taken the liberty to remove the idiotic bickery

First of all, the report section is meant for officers and above. Cadets are considered merely student freecops who are now required to go by our regulations, and their applications are open for a reason.
Second of all, evidence requirements do not apply to borderline rulebreaking or misconduct without any roleplay involved, which this is.

So in other words, Ray is expected to post a darn good explanation as to what we see in that screenshot because so far I am beyond pissed.

I have already explained clearly what happened. Both Sean and his friend illisier were attacking me after I killed docwood. Sean with chainsaw and the other guy with a stubby shotgun. Neither gave me a chance to use Y (it didn't appear) but Sup was there as AU and so I thought he was going to suspect both of them. Sadly Sup fell out of his helicopter by accident though so was unable to. About the car I think from memory Sean entered a cheetah and left it after his friend left it in order to attack me. Sup can confirm:

Also im a witness, i can confirm it was a do or die situation, i can also provide the logs where you talked about it, and it was my fault for not suspecting both of you guys sooner... (accidentally pressed enter in the maverick).
