Title: Officer Reformation
Post by: [Rstar]Vince on February 24, 2010, 02:31:57 am: Over the next few days all SAPD newly passed officers will be tested of their skill, whether it be roleplaying, teaching/helping fellow cops, how well they can react on situations that involve different laws, or their procedures on dealing with suspects. This is a quick heads up for everyone to ensure they are ontop of their game. If they aren't, then they will be forced back to the Cadet stage for an amount of time or possibly fired, having to re-do the process depending on how serious the infraction is.

This has been preformed before and sadly has had quite a few bad results. A hint for all new officers is to read over the laws and ARPD handbook again. There will be no toleration for slip-ups... Remember, we are looking for officers who are there to help other cops as well as show we are an elite division.

Also Vince i applaud you for doing this idea this will help to make ARPD elite. One other question I have what will happen if someone does not pass the test ? ( Demotion Suspension ??)

Post by: [Rstar]Vince on February 24, 2010, 02:57:08 am: The "test" will be for the new officers, meaning ones who have been around for not a lot of time, around less than one month as being an Officer +. It will not be a specific "test" but will consist of various situations where the Officer+ will have to prove his skills and show he is SAPD quality. He/she will not know when the test is happening.

If someone does not pass the test, as stated they will be dealt with accordingly. For example:

Officer 1 is driving down the road where two people are in a street fight. Officer 1 suspects them for "street fight" and shouts /s2 /s2 /s2 without showing any type of roleplay attempt, and then shoots them both dead for not complying. Officer 1 then undergoes demotion to Cadet stage... as not only is it against procedure but he/she isn't showing that they can or are willing to roleplay.

This is a ROLEPLAY server!

People should not be punished for things thats not enforced. If you want to punish them, enforce every officer of the PD to RP to at least be part of the ARPD. If something is not required, how can someone be punished?

Just because RP is not forced on this server does not mean that it is not an RP server. You saying that the owners dont like RP it bogess, and how would you know to be honest? Because I would like to know the resources you got that from..If Argonath was not RP why would people be RPing then? I see alot more RP going on in the past week then ive seen in a while..

I think you guys misunderstood Vince. Role play was part of the judging, not a pass/fail determination.

Simple, stop being lazy and get the Weekly trainings back in the department. Everyone want to go up in ranks, hit the streets and look good, but no one wants to get down and dirty and help the cadets and freecops. If your officers can't RP, or can't follow proper procedures, don't fire or demote them, teach them! They should have been tested for proficiency before they even got the badge of officer. If you feel that you have to test current officers, then you may need to check the ones who are conducting the training moving them on to officer when they are not ready.

So just because RP isn't forced doesn't mean people are trying to motivate you to RP, what if your saying on this anyway? You aren't even part of SAPD..

Does it matter if I am part of SAPD or not? I was SAPD before you was even thought of on this server. And to serve notice on something, as a freecop, I am apart of SAPD and not ARPD. ARPD is within SAPD. Do your research before you come at me with such statements.

Oh well... What I've learned from different people is that the SAPD is the part of Cadet-Chief ranks and ARPD is the ENTIRE Argonath RPG Police Force including FBI and SWAT.

Freecops are a different part of ARPD and have NOTHING to do with SAPD, same as FBI and SWAT.
So from what I have learned, you are an ARPD member not SAPD, can anyone correct/confirm me? :neutral:

ARPD includes freecops, as it is the Argonath RPG Police Department.

SAPD is the official division of the ARPD for the San Andreas region. SWAT is a subdivision of the SAPD.
FBI is a part of the ARPD, but not the SAPD.

Shawn_Edwards is a freecop and if wise should stop trolling these forums...
