Rules and Guidelines

Unofficial Subdivisions
As part of the vision for LSPD different RP styles are to be accepted and encouraged in an organised way. This will be a pilot program to allow Officers+ to shape the future of LSPD Divisions. Express yourselves and show your leadership capabilities and share your favourite police RP with others, and your subdivision may be accepted as an official division with script support.

Official Subdivisions
NOOSE Tactical Response Unit and the LSPD Academy are the first official subdivisions.

Official divisions will have access to:

• General script support
• Official HQ Building
• Access to appropriate vehicles at HQ
• Access to appropriate weapons at HQ
• ARPD Forum Board(s) with custom permissions and ranks

Rules
There are a number of rules to make this process fair and balanced to all applicants. Please read carefully before applying for an unofficial subdivision

• The unofficial subdivision may operate from a single forum thread and must operate within the LSPD ecosystem (ARPD forums and LSPD Discord). New discord channels within LSPD may be added for unofficial subdivisions
• Any Officer Rank+ may create a single topic within LSPD Departments to lead an unofficial LSPD subdivision.
• The Officer+ must request permission from the Chief before doing this. There is an application to submit below.
• Officers may lead 1 or be part of 1 subdivision at any one time. This excludes official divisions such as NOOSE and the LSPD Academy at this time.
• The rank structure of these groups or subdivisions does not deviate from the LSPD rank hierarchy. Custom roles can be created within the groups but must fit within LSPD rank heirarchy.
• The general LSPD chain of command takes precedent over all group activities.
• The name of the unofficial subgroup cannot be a general or protected name. These are reserved for official divisions only at the discretion of LSPD Command.
• Competition within subgroups is allowed. E.g. There can be more than 1 Sheriff group or detective agency.
  
• LSPD Command will have the right to close down any group not operating by these rules or are deemed inactive.

FAQ

If I create a subdivision as an Officer, what happens if a Sergeant or Senior Officer wants to join?
The higher rank officer or sergeant still retains chain of command in all police activity, but should respect and support the group leader as a member of the unofficial subdivision.
Those not respecting the roleplay styles of others or are disrupting the RP of others without good reason can be reported to the Chief.


What do you mean the rank structure should not deviate from LSPD rank heirarchy?
Official ranks are protected - Officer, Senior Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Deputy Chief and Chief are protected for LSPD only. The leader of a group for example, cannot name themself "Chief Detective" for instance. The group should ideally have different roles rather than different ranks. This is to prevent confusion in the rank heirarchy. These must be accepted by LSPD Command.


What is a general or protected name that unofficial groups can't have?
General, lore friendly names that cover either: Argonath, Los Santos or Blaine County are reserved for official groups. E.g. Los Santos Highway Patrol, Blaine County Sheriffs Department, Los Santos Detectives Agency.
If the group becomes official it can adopt one of these protected names.



Application for Unofficial Subdivision or Group
Applications may take up to a week to be considered before they are given permission. This also allows others to see what what is coming and give their support.

I would like the official name to be 'Gang and Organised Crime Task Force' however, the everyday, unofficial name that we would use would be 'Gang Task Force' (GTF)

The Task Force will be a group of highly trained agents, who will work in the field to ensure the safety of our citizens. They will operate both in uniform as well as plain clothes- depending on the task they are performing. (Plain clothes duty will only be allowed after sufficient training and would require a certain rank, so there are no 'incidents') Our agents would need to go through an extensive hand-to-hand combat training (including takedown techniques, self defence, immobilising a suspect, disarming a suspect etc) firearm and melee weapon training (Effectively using sidearms, rifles, shotguns and sub-machine guns along with batons) and tactical training. (Tactical training will be a never-ending process, so our agents can be the best out there) A lot of other trainings will also be required, however i do not want to list all of them here, so that i dont give out too much information.I would rather people find out more in roleplay. Our agents will focus on gang and organised crime activities, such as drug dealing, illegal weapons trading, gang wars, serving warrants on gang members and many, many other tasks. Our agents will of course ALWAYS support the LSPD while on duty.
The focus of this sub-division is to create a fun, realistic RP experience not only for the sub-divsion, but also for entire LSPD and civilians.
Our members will not always perform the Task Force duties, they will be expected to also patrol as normal LSPD officers too.

While working as the Task Force, our agents will take up a 1-KING callsign.
(For example, if your in-game ID is 12, your callsign would be 1-KING-12)
We also aim to work very closely with all other divisions, such as NOOSE and provide mutual support and training.
