1-i think undercover should not be showed in /rank because it can be used against cops as against criminals catching them dealing for example
2- when an undercover suspect someone it puts undercover instead of his name, it will help the UC to have the ability to suspect someone near him without the suspect knowing who is the undercover which will make the UC wont be caught easily. for example:"X(X) was been suspected by an undercover reason: planing for a riot" and senior officers plus can see who suspected the suspect in case of investigation.
-
I like this idea, Ziad, very nice..
-
First one is already made, as about the second one i don't know.
-
Only undercover officers can see in rank if someone has UC Rights.
Second one is ok i guess
-
"TestName(ID) was suspected by an undercover detective for reason."
-
"TestName(ID) was suspected by an undercover detective for reason."
yeah
-
"TestName(ID) was suspected by an undercover detective for reason."
This :v:
-
"TestName(ID) was suspected by an undercover detective for reason."
Yeah, would be awesome especially for the new San Andreas Detective Agency..
-
+1

2nd is pointless idea.
Only UC cop and suspect, cop suspects him, then it's obvious that the suspecting person was UC cop.
Grab an assault team and tell them to suspect to not blow your cover.
-
its more secured janar.
-
1st one would be kind of abuse since it has more publicity more corruptions may occur like example: Mafia member or new cop decides to be funny and reveals an important undercover person as Mafia or new cop may not care or not know the importance. Undercover suppose to be totally confidential, only to be seen by assigned Police Department.
-
The first idea is already in place, you can only see if they are undercover if you are an undercover officer as well. As for the 2nd idea, I support it as it gives more ability to not be specified as the UC officer directly.
-
If the first idea is implemented then understand that if any ARPD or non-UC cop gest suspended or demoted for treating an UC cop like a criminal, this will be the end of any UC rights.
The second idea is even worse.
-
The second idea is even worse.
what is the worse in the second idea ? i will take you to IRL when a UC is arround bunch of criminals that are doing something he launch on radio that bunch of criminals are doing anything and put them as suspect but do they know ? they don't because he is simply a UC.

Every single command can be abused.
-
Supported both of two ideas.

I would also suggest that when non-UC people /rank people who are undercover, they cannot see that they have an SAPD Rank. E.g. :
Ben_Blake's Rank is ARPD Officer
Normal Duty Rights
instead of how it is at the moment, still showing the SAPD ranks :gandalf:

This could be interesting! support it!

I dont see any point for that ben, since ONLY uc officers can see you are UC officer too.
And when a SAPD officer recieve a UC badge, that is because he is trustable.

SUPPORTED

Last time I checked, UC Officers had "normal duty rights" and non-UC have "Normal duty rights". See the difference? ;)
Also, having an SAPD rank when you have a UC name looks a little suspicious :gandalf:

Well that also depends on who is looking, and how far undercover you really are.

Any ranks are only showed to people that have them, with exception of some groups.

Any cop on duty can see the mistake made with the capital letter, as proved by the screenshot above.

Just idea, what about one time UC rights? Which will be gone after relog, server restart or taken by command staff. So more people have chance to train as UC and plan operations.

Not possible at all, matter of fact UC rights are being nailed down.
SADA handles most of the UC work, other than that each department gets only 2 UC officers and they are very cautious about them.
-
Nancy, not a bad idea, but if the user crashes, their cover is blown unfortunately.

Well, that's right but you wont lose anything.

Well, when I went UC it was a two week period maximum, and that was about right for getting yourself known as a criminal, and to do some drug deals.
One-time UC rights may mean you get smaller drug busts, as a lot of criminals are very cautious about who they sell to. If I was one, and I saw a new name, then I would be very suspicious.

True, except losing your undercover rights could ruin the entire operation, though. Don't get me wrong...your idea is a great start. Keep them coming. It's the unique ideas like that from which awesome solutions and fun features are made! :cop:
