Title: SAPD Chief Announcement
Post by: Teddy on October 31, 2015, 01:30:06 am
Good Evening,

After much time with a vacancy in the chief position HQ has decided to elect a chief to the position. We have taken a lot of consideration, and discussion, including some discussions with the SAPD commissioner and the current Deputy Chief. We have found a candidate we can be assured we accomplish the task at hand. Without a lot of rambling on and on, we're happy to announce we're electing [Rstar]Drix to hold the position of SAPD Chief. This takes effect immediately.

In addition the RS5 developers are going to be setting up frequent and consistent meetings with the head of SAPD in order to discuss development progress and ensure the needs and wishes of SAPD are being met from a code standpoint.

Congratulations Drix!

Regards,
[WS]Teddy
on behalf of SA:MP HQ

Congratulations from an ol' veteran, Drix!  :D

You've come a long way (and I sure as hell remember! ) in all these ARPD years, and all the visible effort you place in the SAPD packed with that sort of experience make you a damn fine leader; it surely isn't needed to tell you all the burdens the Chief rank entails, so best of luck (and all of the world's patience!) to you!

San Andreas Police Department - NOW AT RISK

Happy Halloween! Oh wait.....did I forget to congratulate Drix?

First of all thank you for those who actually "protect and serve the citizen of Argonath" on a day to day basis as our MOTTO states. I am very passionate towards our MOTTO! Your new Chief does not exactly agree with that motto and his main mission is about completing forum work. Basically now SAPD has came down to is forum work or get out. Is that what you all want is to be slaving away volunteering countless hours writing paperwork that does not affect anything in game, and when you could be tactically preparing yourself to be ready for any unexpected major accidents or incidents happening in the game? Shouldn't leadership be able to already know who is inactive or active in game without doing activity checks, and should command staff kick inactive officers? These are questions to all be considered.

In addition, I have seen multiple officers AFK in game for hours on the forums. Once someone in game needs help when they are being robbed/kidnapped they don't get help! Instead you are writing a post about trucking operations or about K9s or some dumb-shit whenever you could be saving lives! When I was a Supervisory Sergeant, I spent most of my time in game being the on-scene commander for any major accidents or incidents and always on alert! I would always get my colleagues tactically prepare for the unexpected. Leadership today only work for themselves and they do not work for you. That is not how leadership should operate. They should work for you and at the same time leadership and you all work together! Leadership can not do it without you and you can not do it without leadership. When I was a Supervisory Sergeant I did not care how many awards you have, the stripes on your sleeve, the color of your skin you were, I treated everybody all the same and issued everyone armor and weapons who were doing their job effectively that needed it the most! Sorry, did I just admitted of breaking a procedure? Try going on a patrol with Drix, Lionel Valdez, Jack Cortez,They will be AFK most of the time in-game because when you are trying to patrol with them they are always on the damn forums. This is one of the major problems with SAPD today.

Second of all, I am not sure if you are all aware of this but your new Chief Drix got promoted from Sergeant to Captain in one single promotion. How is that fair to others holding a rank higher than them? It is not. Just because you have done a little bit of forum work it should not make you a Captain within a promotion. I have seen Drix lead units in-game his planning takes forever! There were a couple of operations that I have been with. He had all the units come to the S.F.P.D. and I even timed this one of them too. It took him 26 minutes just to get the units formed up, geared up, and briefed while having all units still stand there and suspects escaping by the time we left the department all suspects escaped. Whenever I do an operation my goal is to only take up 10 minutes and once that 10 minutes is up it is GO time - no questions asked. I brief units on the way to the scene! Because we are here to protect this MOTTO, right??!?!?!?! If you are not ready available within 10 minutes or can not prepare units in 10 minutes you are just worthless to the SAPD!

Third of all, Chief Drix records have showed that he is not a dedicated officer to the San Andreas Police Department. On May 11, 2014, he was fired by Chief Mike Sangelo for incompetence because he left us for Disney land!

Name: [Rstar]Drix
Current rank: Senior Officer
Reason: Inability to fulfill S/O duties - failure to reply to activity check
Punishment: Removed from the SAPD

This is the same reason what he was trying to fire me for however before he could ever fire me I decided to leave the SAPD. As a Captain he should had listen to some of my ideas I was proposing so that this does not happen in the future again. Did you know there are over 40+ officers that have been fired due to failure to reply to an activity check? Hell some of them were still active in game! In addition I was an in-field Supervisory Sergeant only and I only knew the things that mattered. The things that could save many civilians and officer lives and I was able to share it with the rest of you all! Especially it also mattered when shit was hitting the fan.

Captain Drix asked me 3 questions last week. He asked "Who currently runs the SAPD Academy?" I said I am not sure but if I remember correctly it is Drix and Lionel Valdez. Next question "Do you know how the academy works?" I said I use to know but when you started running it I have not looked over it since because I am not an Academy instructor. The last question was "Do you know what Adam stands for?" I accidentally said "It is used as a supervisory call sign" He then said I was wrong and  incompetent. I guarantee you I know more than him when it comes to shooting, driving, and all the other tactical information whenever the time is needed to come. I have a video to prove that.

Which does bring me this. Drix may not have the brightest ideas when it comes to tactics! I will present you with a video during a SWAT Operation. He suggested to use pepper spray when breaching a small interior 4 SWAT members against 5 suspects - good thing he was not SWAT commander at the time otherwise we would had all been dead.  Please enjoy watching this video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SqE7-Ip30k&feature=youtu.be (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SqE7-Ip30k&feature=youtu.be)

As you can see, I was not very professional myself towards Captain Drix and I man enough to admit that. That is because I can not respect someone who gets promoted that fast and I never will! I don't care if your name is Celso Williams but at least Celso Williams is a dedicated member of the police force. He was even demoted but now he is working his ass off and doing the best he can! Celso has a great balance between forum work and game work. Talk to him about all that. I personally am 90 percent game work and maybe 10 percent forum work. I am not saying all forum work is bad but most of it is a waste of time.

Last but not least.....Lets all be honest here and not trying to sound too cocky or anything SAPD has lost one of the best dedicated officers of all time! Finally I just want to ask yourself and you can debate it yourself. After reading all of this the question stands. Is Drix competent to run the department of SAPD?

If that was the case, I'm sure the entire Department would be empty of officers by now, including myself. People have lives and the current command staff understand that. However just like always, extended inactivity without notice is frowned upon and eventually becomes actionable through demotion. At least here, you were allowed a chance, which you, yourself rejected and chose instead to resign. Therefore I don't think it is accurate to come in as if you've found the smoking gun, especially when that can be interpreted as defending your own agenda.

I'm sure we can all point fingers here, TinMan. However, if this is not as serious of a job as you're making it out to be (hint: it isn't), then does it really matter if people choose to do what they want to do? Take a read at every board at your disposal, there's not a single place which specifies you must be active on forums, it is recommended, because it draws attention to your work as an officer. Lacking knowledge required for your role in the Department is another story.

Because we are here to protect this MOTTO, right??!?!?!?! If you are not ready available within 10 minutes or can not prepare units in 10 minutes you are just worthless to the SAPD!

This is where I begin to stop taking you seriously. I have had a lot of respect for you in the past, however this is as low as you can get towards someone, in a game above all else. I have known Drix for a long time now and I know if there's someone right now who can haul SAPD out of a slum that it has been in, it's him. Despite his real life obligations (we all have those, remember?) he has stuck by the SAPD in the end and done it well, in his own way. That doesn't give you the right to judge him publicly, based on one occasion which you would like to use to challenge him for his position.

If this is how petty it can get, perhaps I should begin pulling out your record as well, what do you say? Funny how you can make things work in your favour, right?

This is the same reason what he was trying to fire me for however before he could ever fire me I decided to leave the SAPD. As a Captain he should had listen to some of my ideas I was proposing so that this does not happen in the future again. Did you know there are over 40+ officers that have been fired due to failure to reply to an activity check? Hell some of them were still active in game! In addition I was an in-field Supervisory Sergeant only and I only knew the things that mattered. The things that could save many civilians and officer lives and I was able to share it with the rest of you all! Especially it also mattered when shit was hitting the fan.

After this, I do not think anyone will give you the respect required to listen to you again. Being an "in-field" (whatever that means) Supervisory Sergeant doesn't mean to sit on Mulholland intersection all day. Let's not forget you were not being fired while we're at it, you chose to resign, now you're spreading false information. Drix is still being courteous towards you despite this, remember that.

You know this because your expertise is in being a SWAT Commander right? I'm sure if you had been in SWAT half as long as Drix, you would know his reasons.

Finally I just want to ask yourself and you can debate it yourself. After reading all of this the question stands. Is Drix competent to run the department of SAPD?

Next time try not embarrass yourself, this was seriously in bad taste.

I am not a conformist! We are too free in America! If this server ran in a capitalistic way instead of having one leader making all the decisions. One too many is  with the current leader and getting their way in SAPD. Officers would had stayed within the department but unfortunate as you can see your older officers are stepping-down. Drix knows how to do forum work and that is why he is forcing it down peoples throat but when it comes to in-field operations he is sadly incompetent period dot. Maybe you should learn whats going on before jumping to conclusions young man.  :gandalf:

TinMan... you need to seriously stop isolating yourself. The more you persist this witch hunt against Drix for no valid reason, the less of an image you are portreying of yourself and the less likely it is anyone will take anything you say seriously. Seriously think about what you are going to say, before you go ahead and post it.

My bad, I thought you were fired then I understood you resigned for a ridiculous reason. Anyway. You were saying in teamspeak you were going to sue drix for what you said below.
He did not just hit my car once, twice, but THREE times! Now you can not tell me that was done accidentally. There was no lag involved either. You can not argue that. I have not even opened a court case because you know I got four words for you f+ck tha forum work!
And because he hit your car THREE times in a GAME, you were going to sue Drix for 250k because he damaged your emotions and feelings...Dude please get a life ... this is a game stop taking shit so serious.... and stop blaming Drix for your resignment.... You were a sergeant ... god knows how you reached there but you didn't even knew what callsign should a sgt use.... cmon man... He told you to read the regulations and you resigned... stop blaming shit on others when you left by yourself. People like you should NEVER be allowed in SAPD. Enough said, case closed. <3

Just like to point out that video shows nothing but harresment and stalking, you pulled up behind Drix and co-driver to prevent them from exiting that area, you parked there purporsly to get them to smash into you, hence why you was already recording, that my friend is a case of "witch hunting" not to also mention saying "f**k tha forum work" etc. you've spent more time on these forums in the past few weeks slamming the shit out of drix then you did in your whole career as a SAPD member. Good day.

It's only a game, how about we move on, congratulate Drix for his promotion, and continue working? Also TinMan, just let it go.  :D

.. You were a sergeant ... god knows how you reached there but you didn't even knew what callsign should a sgt use.... cmon man...

Call signs don't mean anything anyway. I still knew a lot about the San Andreas Police Department however the reason why I did not know a lot of the CURRENT stuff because people who were lower ranks than me at the time were changing shit on the forums day to day then all of a sudden they were all promoted and then finally "Its official now." I who have actually have a life did not keep up with the forum work only played the game as an in-field sergeant. All of a sudden Drix gets promoted because he does all this forum work bullshit then everything went south from there.

Reason Number One: Since I did not like the promotion I had an initial man to man conservation with Drix and nothing was going to get accomplished there so I told him that I am going to speak to Nexus about it. Following my chain of command I talked to Nexus still nothing had changed or nothing had occurred. This has always been the problem for me with the SAPD. I never had the chance to talk to HQ and higher command staff, but if you are European you can get stuff done easily especially if your name is Drix apparently.

Reason Number Two: Nobody is ever active enough to even be in the San Andreas Police Department. Not even I was. I don't care if your name is Celso Williams, Drix, Nexus Riggs, Plam Knight, you all are never active enough. And then as hypocrite as SAPD is...people get kicked out for being inactive.

Reason Number Three: I only knew enough to lead units in the SAPD to get them to the fight to ensure they had proper equipment and necessary amounts of ammunition. I did not care if the badge on that light blue shirt or dark blue shirt was on you or not. All I cared about was getting the mission accomplished and I could say I have done a damn good job at that every time while the rest of the command staff members were sometimes "too scared" to equip ARPD officers to get the job done right. I was the only command staff member that would equip other officers for mission readiness even if it meant to break the SAPD regulations. My advice is to not be too damn scared and do a damn good job whether or not it breaks regulations. Rules are always meant to be broken as your current Chief disagrees. He is by the book with everything as you can tell. You should not always have to be by the book because there are ways to compensate the loss of doing something then covering it up with justified reasons. It is that simple. The problem here is that there is no black and white rules to be followed in Law Enforcement. SAPD needs to understand that. Law Enforcement is all grey scaled.

Here is an example. Drix came up to me and asked me why I unsuspected Frank Hawk for murder without giving him an investigation and proceed to jail him. The reason why I did not because the person who went up to Frank Hawk had a weapon and aimed at him and immediately started shooting at him. Frank Hawk returned fired and in self-defense killed the man. The reason why I could not engage because I was too far away to assist Frank Hawk. Drix said that you should've done this you shouldn't have done that. Let me tell you something were you there? No. And also it is just game as you all say it is but on the other hand you all are hypocrites for saying that. If it is just a game why do you pull people over for speeding, reckless driving, and other traffic violations. Why do you even care if it is just game? You can not say that it is just a game and then all of a sudden act like it is your second life. Do not come at me with "its just a game" bullshit because I know you all treat this like it is your second life.

Reason number four: The reason why I am on the forum work so much is because hell I have not made any effort to play on the server recently. I never changed it is just I am spending my valuable time on the forums than the game. If I play the game no forums. If I am on the forums no game. Simple.

f+ck tha forum work.

Oh my goodness, people are so mad. Can't we just be happy for each and everyone of us. Just f*cking congratulate Drix and we all get over our problems. This is not a topic to create a fight, between anyone of you.
