Exception Errors - Unable to Play
« on: September 10, 2010, 20:35:39 pm »
Anyone have ANY idea how to fix this?

I had no issue crashing ever since the 0.3b SA:MP update. Suddenly, last Friday I started getting exception errors. It's so bad now that it's to the point where anytime something happens with an explosion, a gun shot, a /scriptcommand, entering or exiting a building, or a high speed car crash, I get flooded with exception errors and get kicked to the desktop.

Then, when I try to rejoin the server, I'm flooded with exception errors after logging in and am returned to the desktop again, until 9 or 10 times later it finally stops and allows me to play for another 30 seconds before it happens again.

I have installed no new mods, no new scripts, nothing. I have reinstalled GTA San Andreas from scratch, and I still continue getting those errors on a clean installation of GTA San Andreas.

If this problem can't be fixed I'm afraid I will not be able to play SA:MP anymore.

I need help. Thanks.

Questions from Kirby:

1.) Which mods do you have installed?

2.) Where did you get your copy of San Andreas??

3.) On your clean install, did you delete the GTA SAN ANDREAS folder?!

1) Personal car mods I have had for at least almost 2 years now, ELV and Siren Mod (that I had for months before this issue started). All of these have been removed and I am still crashing

2) Amazon.com

3) Yes.

Did a recent virus scan or malware scan? It might've deleted a file which causes it.

All I can say, try re-installing!

Make a fresh map and make sure it's installed there. ALSO delete your user files!

What is your OS?

Windows 7 64bit.

Make a fresh map and make sure it's installed there. ALSO delete your user files!

What's a map? I forgot to delete user files. I'll try that.

Also, the TXD hack causes SA:MP to crash. If you have it in remove it, do to the new update to SA:MP.

You could try to Run it as administrator! HOWEVER: you will no longer have your mods (simply run as regular and mod will be back). You could also try compatibility; Windows XP (service pack 3)

Uninstalled the TXD hack long ago.

I automatically set everything to not prompt and run as administrator. I can run mods just fine even running as admin. That still doesn't solve it. I'll try the compatibility thing. Going to delete the userset in the user data files (as its said to automatically rebuild itself when you run the game and usually causes compatibility issues).

I think MabBoi_Seville had the same problem, everytime he was near a car explosion, he crashed, not sure if it's the same prob, but it could be..

I think he means the Directory.

Putting it in compatibility mode for WinXP ServPack 3 just makes SAMP crash while loading.

Removing gta_sa.set did no good.

My issue: I installed an Audi A6 on the sultan -> ingame the sultan always get pimped by people, but that's on the standard sultan: so the audi mod + pimped sultans = errors I deleted it and everything is cool
