That would lead to a balance which is totally unfair. Every player shall have the option to play on the server, not only cops.

(( I agree with Officer Roel.  That's why I think the script should be set to where only official ARPD officers can go undercover, along with the F.B.I. of course. ))

Sounds like a good idea, especially since only the FBI can go undercover, and few of them are on, so it makes little difference/change in hunting down Drug dealers, etc.

This is likely to be done when they rebuild the scripts as a whole, that way it will be more controlled and testing should hopefully find any bugs

I agree with Officer Roel, that's why I think the script should be set to where only official ARPD officers can go undercover along with the F.B.I. of course.

The whole undercover thing should be for only a select few officers. Maybe 4 or 5 out of the entire ARPD. If you just let everybody be undercover, you give the cops a bloody unfair advantage (which they already have, as it is right now). The last thing criminals need is yet another disadvantage. The balance between fairness for criminals and cops is a delicate one, and at the moment it is mostly average, but slightly tilted in the cops favour, primarily because they have infinite revival potions / the right to return constantly to a fight, and then complain when they die lots of times because the criminals are better (they can't seem to get it into their head that they were absolutely outclassed, so they convince themselves, falsely, that criminals came back to the fight after dying - to satisfy their hurt pride.)

I would like to see it that undercover cops cannot suspect, otherwise you will get abuse with criminals just randomly getting suspected. And don't go spouting "Oh, but only the ARPD officers can go undercover.." because ARPD are just as bad as Freecops with abuse of cop rights (not taking into account the blatant money-abusers).

Oh, and if the undercover cops can randomly suspect, and use supposed invisible camera screenies as evidence, then people will shoot all people who come near them if they are doing something illegal, and don't like the look of the person approaching. Shortly after this, the undercover cop (or in actual fact, just random wandering civilian) will complain, and cry DM, then the criminals get blamed for a perfectly good measure, since anyone can (and probably will be) an undercover officer.

So, an idea. If you do implement undercoverness for all officers, you shouldn't allow them to /su.
Also, they should choose to wear a wire or not on selection of the skin. Anybody can do /checkwire and check to see if random people are wearing wires.
"This guy is wearing a wire, he is a cop!"
"This guy isn't wearing a wire."
Similarly, if the undercover cop wants to use any screenshots of conversations in a Court, then they must include the /showwire command in every screenshot. What would this do? Just show a message to yourself that you are wearing a wire.
"You are wearing a wire."
Just so that everybody looking at the screenshot knows that you were wearing one, and obviously the drug dealer (or whatever) didn't check. Any screenshots without the "You are wearing a wire." message shouldn't be allowed to be used.

(( You've made a very good point there, and I have nothing to add, remove, or change to that.  I totally agree, and yes, I completely agree that we the police, have a greater advantage over the criminals.  I also read that idea you mentioned about being able to wear a wire, on the forums.  It's a good idea, but I decided to expand on it, and asked to make the command a bit more random:

Also, I totally agree that only a select few from the ARPD should be allowed to go undercover, but what about the F.B.I.?  Shouldn't all F.B.I. agents be allowed to go undercover? ))

That's the perfect place for a 'Detective' or rank to be put in and some detectives to be assigned, so they can investigate :)

You all think that 90% of the server who deliberately attack and provoke cops just to get suspected and chased are unfair too?
