Report about SWAT
« on: June 13, 2011, 15:19:30 pm »
Hello,
There was a situation today involving senior officer Drix and cadet ULK.Helix.

There was a bank rob going on. I arrived first at the scene, blocking the way with police vehicle. Then there came other cops storming right in even tho I asked in main chat NOT to do that. I started negotiating with the criminals.

While I was negotiating few other freecops breached and got killed by the criminals. I continiued negotiating. Suddenly, from nowhere, there came Drix followed by Helix. They almost immediately breached without any warning to criminals nor informing fellow police officers. It shall be said that I asked everyone not to breach on main chat as the criminals responded with RP.

So after that... guess what.. a total f**king DM massacre. Drix and Helix started blasting on criminals. At that point I said "f**k It" and went away from the scene, not willing to participate in that brainless DMing. I was really pissed at them ruining that RP scenario.

So in conclusion. Senior officer Drix and cadet Helix did not follow the procedures... on contrary... they turned RP into mindless "Kill what you see" scenario.

It is a shame to ARPD that highly ranked officer uses his SWAT/SRU privileges with the intention to satisfy his DM needs.

I would like to hear from everyone who was involved in that incident.

Sincerely,
Officer [WS]muzdaaz

I was one of the bank robbers. Drix and Helix blazed in with no warning like this is a DM server, after brian escaped and I shot Drix in the back once he healed, so later I used extacy and lots of guys started whining about me healing - later one of TGCs helped me and shot Drix in the back where he started talking about 'lame backstabbers', but that's not the point.

SWAT team has a lot of potential for roleplaying, even preparing for action (getting weapons from the locker, putting on kevlar and praying to god you will come home alive next night) but you guys are wasting it. I have never seen you roleplaying with criminals Drix, yet you whine about deathmatchers. Remember the time we wanted to kidnap you? You just started shooting us with no warning, with not even a single /me command.

Overall I feel like SWAT is being transformed to some wannabe legal DM unit which is a shame. Today Drix ignored any suggestions and roleplays of Muz just cause he is a higher level. If this is how you guys gonna continue to be, ARPD is gonna transform into half RP, half DM police officers.

To be honest for now, I only roleplay with regular ARPD officers and too, but rarely, with VCIDs. SWAT is not worth roleplaying with cause they just breach in with no warning (oh yeah, /c sur sometimes) and shoot all criminals on sight.

Hmm.. In this case, logs can be checked that no warnings were given and SWAT ignored suggestions from other officers.

This isn't a report to ban them or something. Just a reminder to roleplay more, for god's sake.

I hope it's all still cool between Drix and I, although Muz is right on this one. Drix has a DM mentality in which is uses without caution. Here's what happened..

Me, Marc and Brian (ARPD applicant) were robbing the bank.  We had a hostage and so Muz was on the phone negotiating. I was talking to them about the hostage when suddenly Drix rushes in and grenades the bank blowing it to shit. I got hit by the grenade and then shot in the face by a shotgun. I somehow managed to survive that but died while Marc and Brian escaped the bank. So now Marc is being chased by a bunch of cops (It's like 5 on 1) and because Marc was using ecstasy Drix is like "omg heal in battle LAME" like it's some DM server. Then when Hitman aided Marc Drix had moan about backstabbers.

Brian won the bankrob and we were splitting the winnings between us when suddenly Helix, Drix and Lazee roll in. Lazee blasts Brian in the back out of no where. Me and Marc of course fire back cause we're like "wtf?" Then Drix ran away and spawned a shit load of guns like an M60. I moved away from the fight and still got shot while typing. Helix killed Marc and then Marc was questioned what just happened and why it no RP was involved. As usual Drix gets all defensive and starts calling Marc a kid or some shit. TBH I wasn't paying too much attention to what both said to each other but it was all pointless ranting between them until Marc /q'ed. Then Drix told Helix that criminals are a bunch of whiners. They both left the game shortly after.

I tried to enter inside, and as soon as i entered i got spawn shot by you guys, plus you already killed two officers when they entered. By that point, ROLEPLAY wasn't necessary where you were randomly, killing officers. I alerted SWAT, we broke in and shot everyone who were inside. Then we continued pursuit after you, and we killed you to in the end.

I'm sorry if you guys were already roleplaying with Muz and you had a hostage, i had no intention to ruin the roleplay, eventually i didn't know i saw Muz shouting in main chat, DON'T GO IN etc.. but he forgot to mention there was a hostage inside.
Of course i was whining of him healing while his HP, was low. It was totally non rp and lame, i would have not to if he roleplayed it.

So, yeah. After looking at the versions of the story i noticed i have made a mistake. To be honest we whine all day about criminals to roleplay with us and finally when they do it, we don't...
It won't happen again. Got my word in it.

No offence, why the f*ck have you tried to jump into a bank alone with no warning? It's kinda common sense we'd shoot you in self defense.
And all of the officers who got killed, have just rambo'ed in with no warning. We were suspossed to negotiate, then...well you know the rest of the story. We weren't 'randomly killed officers', every tresspasser is considered as invader and needs to be shot in self-defense unless he drops the guns and we agree for him to come. With all due respect, if we wouldn't shoot you as soon as you have entered, you would just shoot us all and say something like 'the element of surprise is always useful' cause we didn't open fire.

Also here's just a random screen I found. It shows someone get false-suspected then you shooting him, would you mind to explain what happened cause I wasn't there?

I did not get exactly much time to brief you guys on these things. I asked you not to enter the building so next time please trust me as I have my reasons for stuff like that.

I tried to enter inside, and as soon as i entered i got spawn shot by you guys, plus you already killed two officers when they entered.

As Marcell said, what do you expect when you enter bank full of criminals with shitloads of guns ready to fire at anyone trespassing. And to enter in order to negotiate you should tell the criminals about your intentions. Plus these two officers you mentioned before started ramboing AFTER I spesifically told them NOT to enter the bank.

So after that... guess what.. a total f**king DM massacre.

Sincerely,
Officer [WS]muzdaaz

We are still humans and react like humans, so chill.  And it was a total f**king DM massacre, trust me.

After examining the situation, I am disappointed in both involved. While I am also disappointed in Marcell for his part in the tensions, I am mainly disappointed in Drix for his behavior in the situation in question, and in muzdaaz for lack of self-restraint. You are both good officers, and you should f**king show better behavior than this one you are right now...

Normally I will keep my calm when evaluating a situation but what I am reading has pissed me off right now...

What am I reading, but a forum argument where three people are acting like a bunch of childs while the rest are trying to explain? For f**k sake you are all mature enough, act like it. I expect better behavior from now on.

Yes, I am only a VCID Detective in VC:MP, but my seniority and experience extend beyond far that, having served as high-ranked law enforcement before many of you even earned your badges... so do not think for even one moment of judging me incompetent to evaluate critical situations such as the one in question, because I am one of the best at it...

Hmm altho I agree that I should choose my words more carefully, I do not see any harm it causes. I will not use that kind of language from now on. Still I believe you should focus more on the main report than evaluating my communication skills.

There is no need to show how well experienced you are. I respect the opinions of all my fellow officers equally.

I have came to a decision. After reviewing the report and the descriptions, Senior Officer Drix (who was in SWAT) indeed over-reacted in this situation and made a mistake in storming the bank while negotiations were done. For that reason, he will recieve an verbal warning and future actions like that will not get a light punishiment. Cadet Helix was apparently under Drix's behalf, so i'll just enforce what i said to Drix while he is in the academy.
