Miranda Rights

Well...when I was a cadet, we were taught to only say the Miranda rights if we were going to ask the suspects any questions. The new guide says to say them when you cuff the suspect.
Also, I believe the IG Miranda rights end with "do you understand these rights?". The one in the guide ends totally differently.

Looking for a solid response to why:
- Cadets are told to /Mir when cuffing
- the /Mir right IG differ to the forum

Miranda rights are to be readed out when you are going to question the subject. NOTE: If you dont do it before questioning, You can be reported and will be dealt with.

Many people are confused of the purpose of the rights and think it tells the suspect nice and gently to shut the f**k up and if they say something they can be processed in court for it.

But the rights are readed out before questioning because, Its his right to know what his rights are in his current situation and that he is allowed to not say anything; thus the "You have the right to remain silent" for the people who think its a difficult sentence this is what they mean "You are allowed to not say anything or not answer any questions".

Aswell "Everything what you say can and will be used against you in court" Means the answers they give will be used against them in order to jail them if they are found guilty.

We teach Cadet's to read them on arrest is incase they forget to.

No other purpose to why we teach it on arrest.

In all fairness it doesn't matter when you read them... As long as it is anytime before you begin questioning the suspect. I prefer reading them when arresting the suspect so anything they say on the journey to the PD will also be noted.
