[SA:MP] What happened?
« on: March 06, 2013, 23:14:55 pm »
The title says it all guys. We must admit that something has been changed.
Where are all of the patrols made by the most active department, the S.F.P.D.?
Where are all operations conducted by the SAPD heavy force?
Where is the teamwork that once saved so many lives?
What happened to the elite force of SAPD and ARPD?
What happened to the top officers in the SAPD?
   What is going on?
   And why?
Everyone that joined the cop duty at least in December 2011 knows exactly what I really mean.
The thing is that S.F.P.D., that once done over 3-4 organised patrols per day, and monthly over 30, I sincerely even forgot about it and it's past.
I mean, it's strong force, the Lieutenant Steven Jeffrey, the Lieutenant Don Cipone, and the other heroes of SAPD?
What happened to the massive water-land-air operations and training?
What happened to the friendship and the relationship between us? Now it's all about how high ranked are you.
In 2011, any patrol could be conducted by anybody. If a SAPD member, even a cadet makes an operation now, over 40 officers join.
If an ARPD makes it, he can consider himself ,,The Patrol'', because nobody will come.
These days I have asked an officer how is it going - new on duty - I told him about me, my past and so on. Somehow, we reached at a discussions about ranks - I was civilian, he was cop: Epic RP coming up - and I told him that I once have been SAPD - Cadet - ,and in a scary way he began to ass-lick me all day long. I would've reported him there, but his name - @$*@dfdhdk or something - was as strange as him. So I couldn't remember.
Why everything is about the RANK these days? What happened? What's going on guys?
I want the old SAPD back, with all my old buddies, with all the love between everybody, the civilians, the ARPD, the SAPD, the SWAT, even the FBI and the relationship between us, not 24/7 suspect stealing and dueling in the parking for the Buffalo. I want the old good RP back to life, and everything as it should be. I want the old good times back. I want everything and everyone I had fun with, I enjoyed to be with, and been proud to serve with.
   So my question still remains...
   ...what happened?
Dreams save us, dreams lift us up and transform us. And on my soul, I swear, until my dream of a world where dignity, honor and justice becomes the reality we all share, I'll never stop fighting. Ever.

I don't agree with you. Yes, a lot of good officers have gone, but a lot of good officers have replaced them. I do not see a decrease in teamwork (exceptions excluded).

There's still some organised patrols, especially by SFPD. Diffirent times of day too!

And about the top officers. I'm here. No, but really, jokes aside, there's good cops around if you open your eyes to them.

Things have become much more professional since before I quit Argonath. I think it's better than it was when I was an SAPD captain, for instance.

"What happened to the heavy patrols conducted by the SAPD?"
The 'heavy' SAPD patrols, do you refer to SWAT or armed officers teamin up, since that's still happening. If you think it does not, then you are wrong. I just had one 1 hour ago for instance.

"Where is the teamwork which once saved lives"
Oh comon, don't go out alone and buy a kevlar vest, don't seek the danger if you are alone. It's the same as in the past, don't exeggerate or come with harsh evidence.

"SFPD organizing 3-4 organized patrols each day"
The SFPD is less active than in the past, though some officers are working very hard. There were never 3 or 4 different Organised Patrols daily in San Fierro. It is not needed actually.
Furthermore, we are aware of the fact that there are less officers in the SFPD currently if you compare it to other departments. This is being worked on..

"I want the good old RP back"
Your call, I still have my fun.

"What happened to the top officers in the SAPD?"
I think you mean the command? And where?

"Friendship and relationship between us?"
That's your call too, people are still friendly in the police force. You don't make friends by creating these topics and it won't proof anything.

This seems to be a rage and moan topic written in less than 15 minutes. Your arguments are mostly invalid and you generalize a lot. I normally don't respond to such topics, though here is my explanation. Have fun reading.

TL;DR: From my point of view this topic is full of lame accusations, useless arguments (eg no evidence), generalisations and moaning. SFPD is under development, be patienced.

The reason for creating topics like this or just reminiscing the way things were is simple - our memory collects only the more exceptional events, the day-to-day life being thrown out of it, so when you look back at things, they seem more exciting than they actually were, the whole experience gets packed tighter, so it seems these great things happened all the time.

In reality, these things still happen.

Howdy mates,

I would like to talk about SFPD's part, as I'm involved in. I feel like took in the discussion.

Well, the situation in the SFPD is actually with like 5 officers operative and some of them are busy with other stuffs, such as other divisions.

Actually we've a lot of inactive people and, as if that were not enough, Sergeant Aly and Cadet Smokes, left too.

By the way we're putting all the effort that we can put in and, a lot of people can confirm that, SFPD's doing a lot of operations and, also, organized. So, even if we're in 5/4, we're active and everyone can join to the patrols/operations.

In this conditions, by the way, it's better to take the SFPD apart.
Signed,

SAPD Supervisory Staff Sergeant

Nothing is permanent. Everything is changeable. It's like saying "let's all stick to this forever because I like it. Hurray!!".

Common sense - get it in your mind. Think before you act.
