SUGGESTION | Paychecks by the government for VCPD members

Hello folks,

I would appreciate if there could be frequent paychecks/paydays for VCPD members so that they don't only get money for killing/jailing suspects but also a frequent, steady payment by the government. Because if we don't get such money we are freecops as well...
This would also increase the interest of people to join VCPD and we could make it more professional.

If offering money would increase people being interested in joining, then they should not apply at all. Argonath is roleplay based server hence no one should care about the cash that much. What separates us from the ARPD officers (freecops) is that we are an official organization/group that server the citizens, and unlike them we are trained and professional.

Also, we do get  paychecks frequently from our Chief, even though that is not his responsibility, he uses his own money.

RP means to act out a character like in real life. So I think paychecks for VCPD members would be an appropriate way to increase RP.

The department does give incentives to its members from time to time. Though it is not very frequent, because the Chief has to pay for it from his pockets. But there are a lot of generous people who would gladly donate.

There is nothing wrong with being a money muncher, actually most of them are very hard working. I believe that to be noticeably good, everyone needs to be enthusiastic about their work. Money and Ranks are the strongest motivational factors. If a player is chasing money or rank in the right direction, he/she would be a valuable resource to the department.

You guys are the ones crying for VCPD not being active enough. Then come up with a better solution to solve the inactivity issue. By passing this suggestion, we would attract more people to join.

And why would getting money for doing nothing raise your activity? If it would, then obviously something is wrong with you. Besides there's enough ways to earn money as police force already, considering the crime on the streets. My suggestion to raise your activity is to get online instead of thinking of dumb ways to get money for doing nothing.

I do not talk about getting money for nothing. I talk about getting money for online hours. My aim is to get VCPD back active and government salaries are an appropriate way to do this. It would be like IRL. Cop job is very dangerous today so there should be an attraction for ARPD members to join VCPD and get a professional cop. We need more.

We do not ask criminal groups to solve our problems. I actually do not understand at all why you guys are replying to this thread as long as it doesn't touch you in any way! I stay out of EAF business, maybe you could do the same: stay out of VCPD work. Not your business man, no offense.
You are not asked to go on duty as freecops. You can also get some RP by RPing with actual VCPD cops. Try it, it will be nice!

That is actually exactly what I am trying to do. Either you wanna start and argument (as I stated above: wrong place here) or you didn't understand my suggestion: I wanna get VCPD back active. That is my aim. And no one is fooling around here.




I do not understand why any criminal group member is replying here or even why you registered on this forum. But I don't care about that.
If you have a good idea how VCPD can get back active you are welcome to respond but I really don't want to hear any dumb replies here about things that don't touch you at all. All Marcell and Nylez have posted here is: We are EAF, we don't like cops, we are the pros and you cops are dumb. Nothing else. Maybe you could cooperate a bit and either stay out of here or reply if you have a good solution for us. We are always open for good solutions.

I do not wanna offend you at all, please understand this, but it just pisses me off that EAF members think they are Argonath and can do what they want. This is for VCPD members for me to hear what their opinions are and maybe for the VCMP server staff to say if it is possible or not. But you guys are no touched by this. At all! So please do me that favour and stay out of here. Thanks.

As I understand cops earn by arresting criminals. With complaints about activity, there should be more than enough criminals active to make arrests. You may launch a petition for government sponsoreed discount in the donut shops though.

To be honest, few people are going to listen out to people who have constantly shown that all they do is bring down the VC:MP server and community. You're hardly a role model, the ones who try to intimidate other players. Regular bans, warnings and overall disapproval are nothing to be proud about. Least you can do is try and contribute without stirring up provocation.


For the best part of VCPD's running Chiefs and other leaders have put money aside to reward people who do great work. We've also been fortunate to receive donations.
As an official state organisation we've access to some government funding and we've used that, like some other official organisations, to set up a pay roll system. Staff would have received fairly regular pays based on attainment and activity these past few months. With transition to new server we'll freeze it for a while. The new scripts should hopefully also provide a much improved payment scheme for all police, so we can adjust things as we go along.

For day to day work, where scripts don't cover, it's generally up to the person managing the operation how they want to reward, if at all. Most of the time I like to give a little bit from my own hand to those that genuinely try to add something new to the RP and put in their worth.
