A new division ?

Hello, so I have been thinking about this for a while now and I think it should be taken into consideration of a discussion so, what I think it should be done is to open an Internal Affairs Division.
This division would be to investigate cases reports not only on the forums but IG as well, I also think that only Supervisory Officers+ would be able to apply for the Internal Affairs Division.


Would they be able top punish the officers?

 As the Internal Affairs Unit itself does not possess the authority to take disciplinary actions it forwards concluded discussions and investigations with their recommended action to the Command and Executive Staff groups which then give the final verdict.

As far as I know (Correct me if I am wrong) The FBI Internal Affairs only handles Federal Agents with in their branch. (Unless told otherwise by the Local Department and FBI Command).

FBI handles corruption, no matter in which department/agency.

Well, that's a very rare situation, I am thinking of the "SAPD Internal Affairs" to handle reports which Sergeants+ currently handle. But in a RPly way with some IG RP
And the FBI IA to stay for more serious corruption as it is currently.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, investigates any form of corruption, not just 'more serious' ones. We do this in cooperation with SAPD Command staff when it regards to SAPD Officials.

Just to clear it out though - investigations of misconduct of SAPD Regulations is not FBI's duty, though. We investigate corruption, while misconduct reports are investigated by the respective SAPD's officials themselves.

Any Command Staff member (Sergeant and higher) can handle reports ingame without the need of them posting them on the forum. Why would we need a division for that?

Mainly for more organization, not to say that maybe Supervisory Officers would like to RP it. (But would not be able to take any action with out the Command Agreement)
In another words, just so that Sergeants and Lts can choose if they want to handle reports or stick to another area.

A division that handles CS work? The Bureaucracy isn't needed. Nor do we need NCOs doing CS work. Too many riskes and inefficiencies.

As a superviosry officer I look at this and think why? On paper it may sound/seem like a good idea. But as stated it isn't needed. There is already a way to report officers for corruption both on the forum and in game. In game if an officer or citizen suspects corruption or if they see an officer acting inappropriatly all they need to do is use the chain of command. As it stands you can speak to a supervisory officer or higher and they will deal with it. If stern words doesn't work from me now I pass it up the ladder. Which is all we could do as a division with no powers. Currently if it gets 'serious'  there is a meeting between the relevent people and the FBI and they take on the case.
