Code Usage
« on: November 18, 2008, 10:30:23 am »
I just discovered IRL codes usage, and see many of freecop/cadet/officer+ didn't use it right (also me)
so this is the real right codes usage:

I don't know if CBF accept this or not, but just advice that the right usage of the code

General Code:
Code 1 - Acknowledge this call, mean that report everyone to know that there r something happen, know this for good (i.e. traffic stop, roadblock, routine check, border check, etc.)
Code 2 - Proceed immediately without siren, mean that u go to the situation ASAP with light (SA have no this function, so we don't press h and rushing to the place with shouting megaphone or horning) (i.e. car accident, negotiate)
Code 3 - Proceed immediately with lights and siren, u already know that, go to there ASAP with light and sound (i.e. street fighting at unity)
Code 4 - No further assistance required, mean there r something happen but don't need any help but not like code 1 (i.e. talking to civilian, etc.)
**How different between C1 and C4?: code 1 for report for good, so unit nearby can response fastly if there r something really happen
code 4 for report non-danger situation, such as talking to unarmed civilian and unfightable

Code 10 - Bomb threat, when this situation happen use code 10, it's include Code 3 and 30 automatically. so it's need backup ASAP or if code is blue, need backup but can wait (proceed with light (no pressing h))
Code 14 - Return to normal operations, to tell other unit on that situation to return to their normal routine operation just like code 4 but when the situation is end or under control (i.e. kidnapping operation, hostage secured, criminal detained)
Code 30 - Officer needs assistance, when code 1 turn danger use this code (i.e. officer got hit by a car, civilian assaulting)
**When talking to civilian (non-danger operation) use code 4, but if they turn danger, can use code 30 or code 2 if it's under control (no using code 3, code 3 for robbery operation, etc.)
**Dangerable operation (traffic stop) use code 1 for good, when turn danger use code 30 for chasing pursuit or code 3 if the situation is not going somewhere else (i.e. he still assault and running around here)

Code Purple - Serious gang activity, this code must use carefully, for good it's should only use by Senior Officer+, this code is for "REAL" serios gang activity (i.e. gang war, heavy armed assault btw 2 groups+) this code automatically includes code 3 or/and 30

Suspecting Reason:
Just advice u guys to use it right,
Attempt Assault - Trying to assault (i.e. aiming weapon, threat to kill)
Assault - Unarmed fights (i.e. Punch, kick)
Weapon Assault - Armed fights (i.e. Brass Knuckle, knife, all weapons)
Vehicle Assault - Advantage fights (i.e. Hitting with a bike, car, all vehicles)
Attempt Murder - Trying to murder (i.e. Drive vehicle nearby dangerously, try to hit)
Murder - Murdered (i.e. Killed someone no matter accident or not)
Robbery - Unarmed robs, threat robs (i.e. use finger as weapon, threating)
Weapon Robbery - Armed robs (i.e. use real weapon)
Kidnap - Kidnaps (no need to explain)
Rape - Unarmed rapes (i.e. rape without threating)
Threating Rape - Unarmed/Armed rapes (i.e. rape with threat to kill, aiming weapon)
Disobey - Ignores order, opposites response (i.e. do nothing, do opposites)
Disturbing - Disturbs people (i.e. horning, stationary hotwires, shouting)
Carjack - Steals vehicle (i.e. jacking vehicle)
Aiming - Aiming weapon (i.e. aiming weapon without shooting in public place)
Shooting - Shooting weapon (i.e. shooting in public place but without people injured)
Hit and Run - Hit and escape (i.e. hit vehicle with vehicle and escape)
Vandalism - Damages public thing (i.e. damging vehicle, lamp post, building, plants, furnitures)

I will use the current codes, unless the Chief & Captains request it...

As I know most of the present codes off by heart now :)

But thanks for posting anyway  ;)
