Hello there Nicolas! Glad to have you on board. Take a look down at the Staff List for a start and get used to your fellow officer's names, so you can partner up on the field!

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to post them. Best of luck!

Alright then Nicolas, due to our current circumstances and the delay that staff had in responding to your withdrawal request we will maintain your application open. Remember, you can always post patrol reports or anything you have done around the city here, so we know you are still around. Any doubts, just ask.

Glad to have you still on board with us.

How are things going, Nicolas?

Have you had a chance to try out the different Argonath servers and play with different groups of players, maybe?

How else do you want me to put it? He's not active ingame and he talks out of his arse saying people don't roleplay as an excuse for his lack of commitment to the server. So yeah as I said before I think this application is a waste of time. I've seen some better candidates on the server, you just need to scout ingame instead of waiting on this guy.

The department is not going to change its policies because of your disatisfaction. We're not going to recruit people without them having to overgo application process first. The reason for that is - when a potential officer puts effort into getting inside the department, he values it much more an will do his best to stay up and active, while inviting people who clearly show no interest in joining the VCPD is going to be a waste of time and resources.

You act as if VCPD actually have limited resources which we all know is complete nonsense. About inviting players who show no interest, when exactly did I mention anything about doing such? All I said is that there is a lot of potential out there ingame and VCPD are not in any way capitalising on the opportunity of gaining possible cadets. Instead you wait on these forums expecting those players to some how know that VCPD exists and magically find out where this website is.

RIGHT.
Surely...
We have 10 percent, if not less of scripted support of what rest of ARPD branches have. (God knows how many years, and we still don't get a copban command). (Before you start saying that we do, we don't. That's not a copban command. It's more of a copkick command. The guy can just /kill and return to duty. )
The server populations is actually divided into VCPD and EAF/DC players. There are random bystanders who come in game, show interest for a week and then disappear once again (this applicant being a very good example).

We don't just wait them to come here. We DIRECT them to come here. We tell them this place exists and that this is what they have to do to come and join us. Yeah, they apply, and in weeks time they either go inactive or discover SA:MP and abandon VC:MP. Not to mention the server is designed to exist for three months a year. It's once again partly dead. Under such conditions you cannot expect us to keep up a stable recruitment.

The scripters are all VCPD, is it our fault that you have no copban? Also added to the fact, copban will be implemented in new scripts but will NOT be given to non-administrators.

That may be the very core of the problem. Tedious application process. What makes you think that players who are interested in being a SWAT want to apply to VCPD, wait for god knows how long only then to realise that 1) VCPD is inactive all the way up to it's leadership 2) the SWAT he was interested in is INVITE ONLY (which makes no sense what so ever).

You want to talk about activity? You were "active" for what? A week? Great job on your part upholding the great activity the department has!

How come EAF has steady amount of players applying to join us after they visit the server couple times? Oh yeah, that's because we are actually there, ingame, welcoming the players, playing with them and teaching them how things work around there.

Stop trying to find something to blame your non-existant activity on and grow a pair of balls and TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY. It is YOU who decide not to join ingame.

As for script support, have I seen you giving ideas as to what you want for the department? Have I seen you contribute in ANY way related to script support for VCPD?

I talked with Legend personally about what he wants for VCPD, and we decided what to implement and what not to implement and in the end it wasn't that much different from how it works now.

What is it that you think VCPD lacks in script support that other servers give? Weapons from Enforcer? Copban? Training procedure before becoming a cop?
Nigga you flip sides so much you might aswell be a f**king pancake; one week you're in a crime family, then the next one you apply for VCPD.
Untrustworthy, unhelpful, and simply quite a pain..

What is it that you think VCPD lacks in script support that other servers give? Weapons from Enforcer? Copban? Training procedure before becoming a cop?

1. copban for non administrators - yes, and still, that is the only copban system in whole Argonath that works this way. In pretty much any other ARPD branch, it's given to Leuteinant and above.
2. The "tredious application process" excuse to shit on VCPD no longer works, mister. The Academy and the application process itself has been simplified since summer in great amount.
3. Yea, sure. There we go, personal attacks. A tool a man grabs when he's out of arguments.
For your information I've been actively serving the VCPD since summer and dedicated atleast 3-5 hours a week till January. Since December I have reported inactivity on both my VCMP VCPD and SAMP FBI desks due to a death of my grandmother and other personal issues that have come up unexpectedly, not to mention I've fallen terribly ill afterwards. For your information, I have just returned. If you'd rather be playing than saying your last goodbyes to your loved one and then doing thousands of things that you have promised to do because your deadlines are due, then you really should start worrying about your priorities in life. I am a busy person , I hardly have any free time, so how about giving me a break.
4. Not saying that players initiative is a bad thing (as i said already i have just returned), but the people that hold most responsibility for keeping the server in its best are managers and administrators.
5. For your information, I have made dozens of idea topics in VCPD boards for the VCPD staff to discuss. I did not make them public because I wanted to see what the department wants, first. The very best example of poor script support is the constantly post-poned return of the simpliest spike strip script. We have been bargaining for it for ages yet didn't get it returned yet. The ranking up system is pretty much useless. While other ARPD branches provide people motivation to rise the ranks (Such as Snr. Officers getting the /cancelsuspect command and better weaponry, Sergeants getting the copban command, Captains getting the rights to set and remove badges), here in VCMP the only rank that's worth something apart from a pretty text in /c rank and few starts in ARPD forums is VCPD Chief. The VCPD Cheetah was removed so a vehicle that anybody hardly even uses could be added. Do I need to go on?
Not to mention that the FBI HQ is still unfairly held in unauthorised custody with no justifiable reason.

1. Copban is considered a punishment in such a lowpop server and will never be given to non-administrators. There is no roleplay reason to use copban for.
2. And yet this application is open even tho' the player hasn't been seen for god knows how long.
3. If you took that as a personal attack, there's something wrong with your view on personal attack.
4. Managers and admins are responsible for getting the server to run in a good manner, we can't do everything (includes changes to script without proper knowledge). Also it was announced long ago that current scripts of the server will no longer be updated in order to push out the scripts for the new VC:MP client.
5. You make topics in VCPD boards? How nice, we managers without being part of VCPD can almost see them! ALMOST.

TL;DR of your post is:

You blame management for not properly supporting VCPD, when infact we've even reached out to your CHIEF to ask what changes he wants for the new script version. We're not here to "insult" or "provoke" you, we want the VCPD to be a VISIBLE part of the server instead of invisible. With your current activity (read; means the VCPD as a whole) you indeed are invisible part of the server.

I don't remember which rank, but cops can already uncrime people. (Not just admins) Weaponry for cops will never be "improved", you want to have heavier guns to take on armed criminals? Get SWAT there or just visit ammunation..

VCPD Cheetah and basic Cheetah currently has ONE difference, that being the lack of siren. Do you really want to argue if VCPD is worth having in a server where we're capped with vehicle models?

If you didn't notice, our scripters ditched the scripting midway through 2.1 beta and we've received only very minor updates that I made myself. Spike strip script was certainly no priority over bug fixing and help commands that were made to the server.

REJECTED

We regret to inform you that your application has been denied at this stage.

I understand that you have reduced your activity in Argonath as a whole. We tried to contact you on other servers, but unfortunately found that you had not been available lately. Hopefully everything is well, and given the VC:MP server status you are more than welcome to re-apply or get in contact with us directly here whenever you wish.

Kind regards,

Chief Legend
VCPD HQ
