Dear colleagues,
Joining the server in 2011 and immidiately being obsessed with policing and therefore appying for the SAPD in 2012 aren't things I'm going to forget easily.
After all those years, it's time for me to move on.
I joined the game when I was 11 years old, and I'm now 19 years old. That's 8 years of activity. Most of it consisted of serving and protecting every single day.
After all those years you see people come and go, and I managed to stick around for the biggest part of it all.
What I saw others coping with is that getting older goes together with more responsibilities and because of that, less time for gaming.
I'm currently in my second year of University studying Safety and Security Management.
This takes a lot of my time, and when it doesn't, I'm spending my time on earning some money to pay for my car and stuff.
When I am not doing those things, I still like to play a game but I don't wanna be stuck to requirements.
It just doens't feel right that after all this time, my activity has dropped so massively that I'm here playing barely a few hours a month.
I simply haven't been able to reach my activity level for a few straight months already.
I'm holding the rank of Senior Officer which I got a long time ago and I'm part of SWAT and AirDivision where I'm bloody thankful for to get those opportunities.
I think it's time for me to let a new generation of players give it a try instead of me. I've always been that guy who puts his heart into a faction like the SAPD and really cares for it, aswell as the server overall. The friends I made, the countless hours I put into it, the things I achieved and learned... I'm thankful for such a long journey.
I'd like to thank every single one of you for your continuous effort within the SAPD and for making it one hell of a ride.
I'd like to give some special thanks to Chester Campbell, Lionel Valdez, Trane, Brian, Bas, Jared Rowland and all those others I had all the good times with and helped me grow within the SAPD to become a better officer. (Sorry if I forgot to write down your name hehe)
Thank you to the SWAT members for letting me give it a shot, which I enjoyed every single minute of, same goes for AirDivision / STAR.
I'll still try and hop in-game some time, most likely as a recruit and I still hope to have the same mount of fun I had as an SAPD member.
I might be back, I might not. We'll see. I hope the current staff and developement team does everything to get the server back to it's old state and that the Command staff of the SAPD puts all their effort in keeping this departement on a high level. In the meanwhile, just hop in game and have some fun guys while you still have the time for it!
Lots of love, JoshThePenguin.
