Yesterday Officers were dispatched to a attempted suiside in progress. My partner and I arrived on scene to find a white male in a chicken outfit treatening to jump off the City Hall's roof and on to the staircase below. I called the fire department to deploy jump pads and had the SACS ambulance go on standby staging across the street. I had officers move civilian traffic out of the way both on the roadway and on the sidewalk. My partner decided he would go up to talk to the male while I would try to talk him down from below. Then my partner pulls out his guitar and starts singing.
