Clearing something up/how it shoud work.

The CIA are NOT an investigation agency (common misconception here).

Let me clear a few things up:

The CIA are the Central Intelligence Agency, They gather intelligence on foreign government activity and are like spies, really.

The FBI are the Federal Bureau of Investigation,their job is to investigate risks to civil live and act as an investigator of major national crime.
They are federal because they cover the whole nation, they are from the federal government.

Now, really, the way the AR-FBI works they should really be named the SABI and VCBI Respectively as they only cover one state, they can only be called the FBI if they operate nationally (that's an FBI rank in each of the servers.).

Now, to protect from terrorists we need a DHS. They protect the homeland security of the United States of Argonath. They would take people down for, investigate and prevent terrorism.

Reason for this thread: I am sick of the FBI and SAPD staff whining that certain groups are FBI clones because of their names.

Well it is called the United States of Argonath. So I assume that means what you see is what you get and that there is not out lying states around us. I do note your point however.

Most of your points are true. Though terrorism is a job for all of police to take care of. As it is very serious. FBI will treat terrorist groups similar to big mafias, but with more priority, and it will be taken very seriously. Infact terrorists, if caught, will have more severe punishment than mafias.

If I am not mistaken, the real US Homeland Security PREVENTS terrorist attacks BEFORE it happens. FBI catches those responsible if it does happen.

Another point I'd like to make is these Army / National guard groups.  The ONLY reason you see US Military fighting terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan is because Iraq and Afghanistan is not owned by the US. If terrorists come to US.. SWAT teams, and maybe even FBI teams will fight them. The ONLY time any US Military force responds is if the US land was to get INVADED by a foreign COUNTRY.

And yes, CIA is supposed to investigate other countries, but theres no 'other countries' in SAMP or argonath. So it is rather useless.

We are currently discussing a way to possibly unite the FBI's in each server and make it it's own agency to rule out these issues and promote inter-state cooperation. As for the CIA thing, I believe that is a positive group and would promote more roleplay if made official. It could create RP between VCPD/SAPD, CIA, and FBI if CIA found, for example, a terrorist organization that was planning an attack in Argonath and decided to contact the FBI and VCPD/SAPD to be on high alert and investigate/fix the situation.

You are all true here about the CIA/FBI/US Army/etc..
But don't forget we are not in the United States of America, we are in the United States of Argonath. Even if Argo is mainly based on American system, we do what we want about FBI/Army/etc with agreement/order of President and Chiefs/Directors as happen in any country. If president want for example, with Generals council, to put Army inside his country to do something he can. But if that isn't needed he would logically use SWAT/FBI/Police.
Moreover, about terrorism that need to be RPed VERY well, because if terrorism=crash in front of LSPD the "terrorist" will be handled by Admins for DMing. Terrorist RP mean (In my opinion, I don't think I am an expert about terrorism) terrorist group must claim something and does his terrorist act with a purpose not just "I am terrorist! Boom!" .
