I will only do it if you can be in two at once. I like the idea but we have a SACS CB Channel and it is needed for our Patrol Operations.

I don't see the problem in just using the main radio.

I noticed that DPD was using this system.  I find it to be a rather interesting idea, however, Jake has a point.  SACS has it's own special CB channel which it uses, plus, we cannot be split up into two channels at the same time.  That poses a problem.

I've been thinking this myself for awile. It would reduce clutter on the main /r radio.
With the new departments open, there is now alot more Officers that are not in Los Santos. With that said, there are alot more report of traffic stops and such in scattered and various areas on the main radio. Now what im thinking is that either there could be offical /cb channels you could with your department alongside the civilian channels. Or more police radios be made. It could be something like /rl for LSPD, /rs for SFPD, and /rd for DPD. And /r could be used as a state wide police radio. Just a thought but I do hope something like these would be taken into consideration.

Respectfully,
LSPD Officer Scott Kenney

I had this great idea. How about we split the Police Radios up?

/rl = LSPD Radio
/rs = SFPD Radio
and /rd = DPD Radio

I have a great idea here, fellas.

Thats exactly what I said. Nevertheless, its a great idea. And the /r radio could be used state wide.

I believe with this you want all LSPD officers for example to only have access to it? That would mean script that can have an bad influence on the script since you can use the CB radio, It's up to each Department Command staff to decide if it's needed to have there own CB channel to use when they operate.

I personally do not support add of script as Rabbi stated above, we do NOT want to make each department independent. We still want you all to work together even if you got areas your more responsible for then before and each department has difference operation going on.

And what about freecops and Cadets?? They are people that the SAPD cannot work without! We need all help we can even if they are not experience or has the same knowledge of how ARPD is working.. They also might be your partner in future!!

I like what Rabbit and Scott have suggested, however, I highly doubt that would be put into effect.  Let's face it, CBFasi will almost definately not consider making such a script.  Also, Pancher has a very valid point.  If such a thing gets implemented, how do the voluntary officers and cadets communicate?

Personally, I think this is a no-go, and what Pancher says holds true.  It's entirely up to the command staff of each department to make the decision whether or not an official CB channel should be used for department communications. ))

True true. Thinking back on it, I understand that it would be hard to communicate with another department.
I don't know, maby there could be like a thing where you could set up another radio along side the main one and talk to that departmant. Of course that just sounds like joining a CB channel. But it could be made where each departmant got there own cb channel that could be used while being able to use the the civilian channels also. Anyone on duty could join them, not mattering your department. Including freecops and cadets. And /r would be used as a state wide radio.

Although DPD has its own cb radio (thanks to Nexxt) I can only see it being useful for DPD command conversations and possibly localised operations and training. For normal operations, I would still use normal police radio. Because frankly I dont think the police radio is used enough, and I encourage people to use it more.

I am totally against seprate radios, as I still think we all have a duty to patrol in every single area...
Some nights there's not one person in any country areas, and there's 80 people in LS...it'd just clutter up the scripts and be useless in a lot of situations..
