Now, I dont think the phrase "invite only" should be used, more like, "accepted only". Now that ARPD is here, I dont see any reason why we cant make it the only police on the server. Simply remove the cop skin from people who hasnt posted an application and been accepted. The arguments against it was: (quotes)

"Invited by who ? If we can not get enough admins, or people to give out passport how can we expect to have people accepting cops."

We (will soon) have chiefs for every department. Those chiefs should be selected by Gandalf and RON, and be people they can really trust. It should be as it is now, that each chief accepts or denies the applications. Ive seen some applications for becoming chiefs of police (I also volunteered for it), and now its just up to you two to find people you trust so they can accept or deny people.

"Also how can you prove you can be a cop if you are not allowed to play ?"

Again I'm using your own idea, being a cadet. You can get a try-out and if it doesnt work out its just back to civilian, and if it does you are a police officer.

"We saw this idea on another server and it sucked."


Its working very good on Godfather server.

Right now I see a lot of people who abuse playing as cops. And when theres no admin available, they cant be kicked. This could be avoid, also for you admins, so you dont have to be active and kick people all the time. And easier for us so we dont have to whine about it.

I dont want any fighting in this thread, just hoping this can change your mind.

Also, I have a couple of other ideas:

1. Illegal to enter ammunation (but you can get guns from somewhere else - dont know where) because a lot of newcomers just go straight to ammunation and do drivebys and all that. Kaltsu told me businesses will be available in 0.2, maybe somebody could make an illegal gun business or something

2. Remove mountain bike. Its EXTREMELY hard to capture a guy who can drive faster than infernus and jump over houses, when youve only got a crappy slow police car. I chased a guy for 45 minutes yesterday, before I just gave up.

Each minute a suspect is suspect, the reward/the money he lose will be raised with 100. That actually is kind of like real life, the longer you are being chased, the longer you get jailed. So how do we prevent people abusing this. Three ideas:
    3a: Remove reward-system, find another way to give cops money.
    3b: The suspect can turn himself in.
    3c: Accept-only policeforce, and if the accept-only cops will abuse this, people can complain on the forum or on the server, and the chief can give him a warning      (its up to each chief how many warnings he will give before kicking an officer out of the PD).


Im begging you, Ron and Gandalf, to at least consider these suggestions. Thanks in advance.

By which i mean the police rioting against innocent and unarmed civs!
  I dont think i will ever use the grove skin again, im too traumatised, as this is what happens when im not a cop xD.

Yes, it's unbelievable, half of the time people choose cop skins just to avoid being randomly suspect and shot by them all the time.

No, we shall not close all police for new players...
Some of them can come from other servers, where they were a really good cops...
The only way to see it - give them a chance to show what they can...

The same about noobers...
Half of them just like to be cops... It is unusual role from all GTA games, and, finished the single player, they come on multiplayer to find a new game mode... They find that at last they can try themselves as cops... Why not?

i agree you should be able to regognise the cops that are accepted on the website very distincly to the reguler cops
