Riot?
« on: February 25, 2008, 16:24:57 pm »
Last night it was almost like a riot in LS, we had alot of drive bys from diffrent gang, we got allot of gang fights. Well we handel it ok but i think we need to traine some guys for this kind of situations and traine all units to learn how we can protect so this not happends again. We was needed to drive atleast 2 in each squad car and we got sometime alot of traffic on police radio so i was a bit confused sometimes where to go and assist..
Maby time to make a special force? Or do some training for Officer to handel this much better.!?

You may have noticed that I activated for the first time the Special Duties Squadron, equiv to a National Guard, in this case to see the reactions etc, but there is a definate need to do advanced training in riot contol situations.

As for the patrolling in pairs, its a very recommended thing (says a person who is often alone).

We could have a status system where we advise what the regional status is, relating to level of crime etc and how police units should operate, ie under a level it may mean minimum of 2 units per squad car, another may mean all quiet, another may mean dont go out unless heavily armed.. etc..

This last is an idea, where it goes I cannot say but it wont work without support of both ARPD and ideally the freecops
