You're going to need more experience than just 4 days on the server. A month is a good amount of time to pick up on and learn new skills and determine the different responsibilities you'd have as an officer. You'll also need to obtain a passport and a license to show that you know the basic things civilians should know. I'm not sure about any guides on how to obtain these, but you can search around on http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=45. Also, you said you may shoot earlier than you should: You really should try to fix that because the police force has no sympathy for people who abuse civilians and suspects.

I advise spending more time learning the rules and laws of the server and region.

As someone who has only been on suh a short time you need more time to get an idea how ARPD operates (we the guys in dark blue!).

Learn the regulations and carry out cop work to the best of your ability in the meantime.  This will give you the experience to make it into ARPD and will also give you a chance to really see if its what you want.
