George Estrada CA POST Peace Officer Memorial
« on: February 15, 2011, 20:23:32 pm »
One of my annoying family members found this. This guy was my step-grandfather, now deceased. He is former military, law enforcement, and helped created the State Of California Peace Officers Standards And Training Commission, the organization responsible for keeping up with the demands of the community to safely train peace (aka police) officers so that they can effectively and safely do their jobs within the laws of the state and country. They are also the organization that certifies trained officers in the State Of California so they can legally work as peace officers. I think this memorial was given to him years ago when he retired, as the date on it is nearly 10 years before his death, but it goes to remind us all that our job not only means a lot to the community, but also to our brothers and sisters whose backs we protect every day out in the field.
