Traffic police team
« on: April 21, 2011, 21:13:45 pm »
I think, that we could open as a division of SAPD a traffic police team, that will be specialized on keeping the road cleans from reckless drivers, from rammers and lovers of speed excess.

Those officers should have better knowledge of Traffic rules, high skill in chasing with cars.

Also, we could provide them with different color scheme

SAPD work is to take care of reckless drivers, what do you think ''normal'' SAPD should do if a subdivision focused on the traffic coming in?

I think that the traffic division will concetrate on traffic patrol, and the rest of SAPD will take care as on traffic, as on other cases

This is the SAPDs job. We should all have the best knowledge of traffic laws already, our jobs are to patrol and handle whatever is there. Also, if you forget we have rules about vehicles now, we are restricted to cruisers. There really isn't a need for something like this.

Sorry to say guys, but this already exists! ;)

SATC, formerly SATP, deals with traffic crimes. Should subdivisions be allowed back, we would probably be the first ones to hit the streets. Back in the day when we were still SATP, he had a very high rate of traffic stops and speeding was very difficult to do in San Andreas. Even officers were being stopped for speeding. Gotta say I miss those days. Traffic enforcement worked well back then.

Yeah, how many years ago was this, Jack? Even if, the job of the SAPD is mainly to do things such as what you stated. Sure, if people want to make a division based on such, why the hell not. I'd accept it in my department any day if someone recommended it, of course it would have to be within the entire department for it to function correctly.

I'm not saying it's disallowed, I'm just saying it already exists. I could easily bring it back if the Chiefs would allow it. The only reason why it died was because subdivisions were shut down.

As said before in another topic, if such divisions which you'd like to become Officialized, you must contact Chiefs with proposal with its uses, then the Chiefs would process it along with its activity and potential in SAPD.

It was approved long ago. SATP was the very first official subdivision SAPD ever had. Vince and the previous Chiefs shut them all down though, claiming it was taking away from the overall focus of SAPD.

I read it. You really need to stop quoting everyone's answers as your entire post. You've been doing it a lot lately... ><

Last days I work more as traffic inspector, so I would ask agreement for a trial Traffic Department

It's goal is to keep streets safe and clean, we will check:
- cars speed
- the accuracy of driving
- the parking (many people break IX.I.I ordinance)
- we will tow dropped cars and give them back to owners after paying small fees
- we will help new players to start drive safely

I think it's a great idea! Something needs to be done. I mean just the other day a I got in a TC with an SAPD officer while I was responding to a call. It ended up being a hit and run. Something needs to happen. Also the issue of the abandoned cars. When I was a part of ARPD I think I was the ONLY one that would call in abandoned vehicles. I still try to take care of them while working for the fire department.

Hello!

I think this is a good idea... or is? Well the SAPD does everything, they keep the road clean and the country clean or criminals (well we try). Maybe a traffic division is good!

I think Ronnel said that anyone is free to make sub divisions as long as they comply with the SAPD regulations.
Meaning sugar you can bring back SATC/SATP as long as it stays with regulations :D
