Reporting ARPD Officer: Nightangle
« on: April 23, 2012, 08:03:37 am »
ARPD Report: Nightangle
Hello Senior Officers and observers in this thread.

Report against Nightangle

Reason for Reporting this player?:He rammed a civilians car with no thought of to Protect and Serve. He also used ABUSED /c sus. Also Kittrell was banned on the count when he was DEFENDING I quote DEFENDING himself from a Officer who was abusing the system. Nothing was done to Nightangle, ramming ANY car regardless if it's outside of RP terms is against Server Rules. He abused /c sus which is a high offense in my view with a stupid reason: shutup and wait on someone else. That's Police Brutality and we don't want a Department which people don't like. If I get a comment saying that the language is flaming and he deserves it, I'll ask what happens if someone pisses you off by smashing your cars, someone not upholding the rules, someone smashing into your RP, someone abusing /c sus on you. Someone or Some People not doing their jobs right after 1 month of being in the job. Here is the link to the unban request by Kittrell: http://www.argonathrpg.eu/forum/index.php?topic=83955.msg1321909#msg1321909 . Please excuse the language in the following pictures

Screen Shots if Available:

This was the ramming

False use of suspect

Him again using false use of suspect

Demands: Banned/Temporarily Banned from VC:MP Argonath and the unbanning of Kittrell, [AsS_T]Kittrell, [KM]Kittrell

Note: I couldn't find anywhere to report a ARPD Member for VC:MP without sending an email.

Signed, VCPD Cadet, PulseEffect

This is to be reported at [email protected], not here. The person is not a part of VCPD, so this is certainly not place to report him.

Also, about Kittrell's ban, he has already made an unban request, and it's being under discussion. Kittrell has shown some really unacceptable behavior, he broke the rules, got banned. I don't see what's your point.

My point is if Avenger was undercover, banning someone without watching what Nightangle was doing to Kittrell earlier,
Kittrell stealing a car yeah... I get it. But I've seen more people ram into RP's e.g Traffic Stops I won't mention names but not much was done anyways.
Flaming is irrelevant here because if someone was to severely piss you off wouldn't you get annoyed? I think it's that people are trying to piss people off and get people banned. This is would be like a Semi Shadow Report Case where people just annoy people. Instead Kittrell was banned which Shadow was just suspended from FBI. I think something is OUGHT to do something about it. It's giving an unfair advantage to people who take Vice City not so seriously and troll while a more deciated player who's real life is stressing, they get E/F's, parents get angry at the person, his friends are jerks, and he lives in the lower part of the student body where the unpopular students are and then he gets banned by an admin for flaming when his life is hard. It's like a Blind Student being teased by a bully with the teacher right next to them handing out worksheets to other students and when he tries to fight back as in throw stuff, he gets sent to detention.
Nightangle has had an interesting past with ARPD though.....
Abusing the spawned weapons........
Never the less I feel sending an email is gonna take some time for it to be processed, also to add to some of the emails I've sent over the time.
If I see Nightangle on the server some time within a month I'll presume nothing was done.

Either way I'll go send an email. Infact I'll just refer them to here. I'm not writing out another report of what happened.

EDIT: Also if you can get a Webmaster or whatever to get us a Report A ARPD Officer Board.

1. Shadow was suspended from FBI and placed on Removal Watch instead of removed completely from FBI / VCPD, because I decided to give him a chance to learn from his mistakes. So far, he has responded well to the sanction and now displays good behavior, which is why I did not remove him after suspension.

However, keep in mind as well that his offenses did not reach the same gravity as Max.Cipone's case and Kitrell's case, which warranted getting fired and banned from the server, respectively.

2. Flaming is and will always be relevant to a situation. As I outlined in this topic, rules are rules and they must be followed regardless of what you are confronted with.

Otherwise, admins will be banning severe provokers for reasons such as "I've had enough of your bullshit you f**king son of a bad girl faggot; I hope you and your mom eat shit and die!", which of course is not permissible, such as flaming someone in return because you were flamed first is not permissible.

If I was a poor player who was DMed and harassed by a rich rulebreaker, and I hacked weapons for revenge, I would be banned for hacking. Retribution is not, and will never be an excuse for rulebreaking. I do not care what rationale Kitrell or any sympathetic personnel will use to justify his actions, but he is also at fault for failing to handle the situation appropriately. Rulebreaking to fight a rulebreaker will make you one as well, do not forget that.

3. A person's IRL background is not relevant as you think. Regardless of your position in real life, you are expected to abide by the rules in Argonath RPG. The players we have who obey the rules range from young professionals with good jobs down to the unemployed who still live with their mothers, but you do not see us giving special treatment to any of them.

I understand any sympathy you might feel for someone, but there is a high probability as well that any sympathy you might feel for someone due to their IRL backgrounds could be misplaced; how do you not know they are simply making up stories or exaggerating?

4. If your comparison of Shadow and Kitrell was due to you harboring any sentiments about any acts of trolling possibly committed by Shadow, then please do kindly provide the necessary evidence. My duties are not only following up on his output, but also keeping him in line, seeing as I am his commanding officer.

5. If you feel that complaints on ARPD Officers sent to the VC:MP Email are unchecked, then that would not be our fault, but the VC:MP Administration's. Neglecting such complaints would only serve to portray the Administration (especially its Management) as negligent and incapable of enforcing its job properly. In such a scenario, the VC:MP Administration will be the ones to answer for it, not the VCPD Command.

Please keep in mind as well that the copban commands are not available to all VCPD Command Staff until RS2.0, meaning we do not have direct methods of sanctioning ARPD Officers for extended periods of time.

This complaint is now Closed, and has been DISMISSED. This topic will be locked in 48 hours.

Reason: Subject is an ARPD Officer, not a VCPD member.

As for that board request, we shall find a solution for it soon. I do not think a board is necessary, however.

Signed,

Director Jonathan Kolta

The player in question has now had action taken on them by the Argonath RPG Administration.
