Siren Usage
« on: October 16, 2008, 15:44:11 pm »
Since I'm playing and being in Police Academy for a couple months
I have seen a lot of freecop/cadet/officer and above+ didn't using siren correctly
this is siren usage what's police IRL do:

-Code 3, light and sound. can drive over speed limit
-Code 2, light (but SAMP have no this function, so we don't turn on siren) can't drive over speed limit
-Pulling over, light or light and sound, following that car, hold h for secondary sound to tell them to stop, or shout megaphone
-Traffic rules breaker, such as blocking the road, stop middle of the road, etc. U have to shout megaphone, horning or turn on siren with light only if they not responding, after warned 3 times, u can suspect them and continue pursuit
-Suspect detained, back to code 4, u don't turn on siren with sound (only light - SAMP have no this function, we don't press h) can't drive over speed limit, u have to turn off siren and drive normally when u getting back to PD
-Setting up roadblock, u have to turn on siren to tell other know that's roadblock ahead, so if u turn off ppl will not think it's abandoned cruiser blocking the street and drive pass
-Kidnapping operation, robbery operation, when blocking area around operation's place, u have to turn on siren, if the operation is taking too long, like 1 or 2 days (IRL - maybe 5-6 hours InGame?) u can turn it off

I've seen a lot of cop turn on siren and rushing to PD when the suspect is detained

so I'm telling everyone to stop doing that, coz it's can be abusing siren usage  ;)
-Thx.

Good Topic! I dont know why when free cops turn on their sirens, they think they can speed  :trust:

I Use the sirens correctly, in the right situations, hopefully the lights on, sound off will be in RS.04?  ;)

Nice that you wrote them, I usually follow these but I know that some cadets wont. For example some cadets (freecops) just used sirens so they would be "allowed" to speed their way to for example GS9. Abuse or not, but not so serious anyways. But if you want to be ARPD, you need to use them correctly.  ;)
