[VCPD] Resignation =AV=Bas_Corleone
« on: August 04, 2017, 17:17:31 pm »
I'm hereby resigning from my position as officer within the department as I seem to struggle to keep interest and activity up within the department. This combined with some stuff I have experienced recently I have found that I dont feel welcome anymore.

For the people who made this a fun experience for me:

Reaper: Shame that you resigned, great cop overall. I do however understand your reasoning.

Salmonella: Thank you for supporting me from day one, got nothing but good things to say about you.

Hype: Keep up the good work within the department, I'd say you and sal are a strong team.

Thanks for the fun, and perhaps till the future!

Bas Corleone, Over and out.

I will not get involved with the second half of the second sentence in this topic. I could provide a different point of view but I'll abstain and wish you good luck instead.

Well, to be honest, that doesn't change much. We still had reasons to be disatisfied with you. Resignation is a little bit of an overkill for such an absurd of a situation. You may want to give this more thought.

I've been disatified with the VCPD for a while now, and so have many others if you look around.. This isn't a sudden thing, it has been crossing my mind for a good 2-3 months hence the drop in inactivity. But I'm going back to enjoying my vacation now. Have a good one!

And you pointed out the problem yourself. We cannot fix issues that pester the department if we do not know what flaws do officers see and what do they want to see changed. I, and all other command members were always open for suggestions, opinions or inquiries. We do not hold the "shut up your opinion is not relevant" policy here. Every opinion here is considered and thought through. I cannot initiate changes if instead of talking to me people decide to resort to stupid decisions instead. Besides, you were on unreported leave for quite a while which was reason enough to fire you within a week. We didn't.

If you are refering to the recent resignations of a few SWAT members, then their reasoning is biased. One resigned because he was demoted as a disciplinary punishment for unacceptable attitude, while the other left because the SWAT leader has, as they are two inseperable friends. I do not see how does this falls under the "being dissatisfied with VCPD" category.
