my idea comes from what police officers have in real life; which is an emergency button on their radio. for situations where an officer cant get to their radio, or are otherwise unable to give location/status.

not meant to be a replacement, but an optional aid (to be used only once per call, not throughout a call) in the event that an officer cant take the time to type details by hand.
meant to be simple, provide all necessary information, and eliminate possible confusion that typing words may otherwise give.
and converts coded language, into easier to understand, plain language. quickly and simply
replacing the time wasted by asking
"/r whats the location?"
"/r whose involved?" or,
"/r do you need assistance?"

The intended idea:
               Initial callout should be in "/rb" format. to give officers a simple, straightforward overview of any situation. and after backup arrives (or it becomes safe) officers revert back to manual /r
and also, for officers in an active pursuit, its nearly impossible to give your location, status, and situation.

The same way that laptop computers give a very basic overview of a crime to officers in person, and details are given manually after being on-scene

instead of an officer having to type (meanwhile, a suspect may gain a considerable lead)

he or she could type
                  "/rb 1 2 3 s2"

for example, if I were with suspect 69 [Rstar]Kitsune, and an unexpected shootout started, the officer could quickly type /rb 1 2 3 s69
vauge script line:

/rb [opt. signal id] [opt. signal id] [opt. signal id] S[suspect ID]

and for each number added into the command, it would be added to the list of signals

signals

/rb 1 "OFC WEP FIRE" - Officer Weapon Fired
/rb 2 "SUS WEP FIRE"  - Suspect Weapon Fired
/rb 3 "CRIT INJ" - Critcally Injured
/rb 4 "OFC DWN" - Officer Down/Incapacitated/Unable to continue
/rb 5 "HVY ARM - Heavily Armed
/rb 6 " MTPL SUS - Multiple Suspects
/rb p " GANG RLTD - Gang Related ("p" keeping with the theme of Code Purple for "Gang Related/Activity")
<insert any other signal ideas>
       

 and multiple-number signals would not represent "one-twenty-four", but "one, two and four"
/rb would require no specific order to broadcast "Officers weapon being fired, by multiple heavily armed suspects"

/rb 1 5 6, /rb 1 6 5, /rb 5 6 1 would all give the same results. (with the exception of the order of words in "SIGNALS" )

There's something similar in VC:MP that actually works pretty good.

If the officer is in a direct gunfight, he does not needs to type ''/c r Code 30 at ______, multiple heavy armed suspects, 10-0, over'' - There is a command called /c bu, which displays the following message to all law enforcement:

[BACKUP] Officer [NAME] needs immediate assistance at [LOCATION]! Approach with caution!

Instead of typing a long message, he just needs less than 2 seconds.

A Quick Command seems useful.

Maybe something like /RB
Officer needs urgent assistance at Idlewood, Los Santos. Code 3

This would not show to people in the surrounding area, like /R does.

If you're surrounded by Ballas and need help, using your Radio infront of them would probably provoke them. Flicking a Red Alert Button on the Radio without them noticing would be much better.

I posted a double on the SA:MP Ideas board, and mostly replies relating to "just use /r" "not needed" etc

and even

I have been a cop for exactly 2 years, and i know how this works... Simply report to radio after you die if they kill you while typing

and from such a highly ranked officer, thats a joke.

MTA:VC has this too, but the command is !bu and it displays a similar, but less urgent message.

*added the idea of being able to use "/rb" without signals. making using signals optional.
makes it a little bit easier for people who don't find adding signals worth it
