AGAIN cops refused to listen to CODE 30/PURPLE..
« on: April 13, 2010, 21:27:08 pm »
Hello,

I've seen again that cops refused to listen to the CODE 30/PURPLE RED.
I have made screenshots this time.
I think all these units, should get contected by their CAPTAIN/CHIEF.
I'm afraid we can't do anything with these freecops except remembering this if they apply for the APRD.

I've also seen cops/units ignoring SUSPECTS who pass them.
They do not chase them, and just ignore them.
Also they ignore speeders, I know some are cop hunting, but you are a COP you should do your work.

Alright, all units who were online at the call:

ALL units who responded to the call:
http://img685.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=samp112c.png

Units who are not on the screenshots and responded:
Kevin Stracci

There's a freecop who said he'd rather relax than responding to the Code 30.
I have screenshots of it, but unfortunetly he can't be punished.

This should change

I have noticed a slight reduction in the amount of online cops (ARPD/freecops)...

There were like 10 suspects, most had body armor.

We didn't want to respond because we weren't organised.
Something like this happened before, and a Captain or Lieutenant
organised a SWAT team and Patrolmen to Raid the Motel.

Shouting CODE 30 f**kING BACKUP is crap I don't have to listen to.

Look for a Sergeant+ when such thing happens. They'll certainly know how to properly lead a tactical assault, regardless of SWAT status.

Policemen (including freecops) normally develop basic tactical knowledge as they play and acquire experience, but in fact it is mostly up to them to ignore it or not.

I believe the Academy will host several public trainment sessions regarding this... They need to be rebuilt though.

Also please, don't be afraid of pulling back. We can't always gather enough power to strike criminals. You might want to hold your position but with no advance, until you see enough units on.

Criminals have a wild combat behaviour, they will prefer close quarters combat, and the use of cover can save lives in code 30 confronts.

I couldn't get this organized since there were cops in danger.
I wanted everyone to gather at LSPD, and that we can attack at the same time. That would be the best option.
But I couldn't do this, there were three cops at these 10(?) suspects, fighting for their lives, and then I'm gonna tell every unit to gather at the LSPD and let them fight/die.
PLUS: What also stopped me was: I do not have the right to tell them to gather at LSPD.

*Ahem*

[sarcasm]Certainly isn't quite the real word there mate.

Look for any officer with a roleplay name (John_Smith'esque), don't choose names that make no sense or sound noobish.
Those people can lead a proper tactical assault.[/sarcasm]

Well, we have a problem gentlemen. First problem is yes we do have a lack of response. Now If I may interject I think I have a Theory. Now what I have heard from officers is some posts like this "I don't want to get shot" and selfish comments like "I have to many weapons" Pardon my French BUT WTF! People seem to play this game thinking only of them selves, I respond to all Code 30's that I can but most of the time its In Ls and I am the only SF officer on with Several Civilians all over. People need to understand that Code 30 means

Code 30: Officer In danger (Do not use this code for normal backup requests)

So by that definition all units that are not doing something Very Fcking Important should be en-rout!!

If we began to enforce all Units respond then some people would be getting demoted and Fired Real Quick.

Shit, I didn't know I am unable to roleplay if I don't have a Firstname_Lastname. My bad. I admire much of your thoughts about police work, Oliver, but that is totally retarded.

LOOK FOR AN EXPERIENCED OFFICER IF YOU NEED PROPER HELP IN ORGANISING AN ASSAULT.

Better now?

You need to stop the flames. If you believe a Sgt. isn't fit for the job and can prove that, then report it to Command Staff. You and I both know VERY well how things work around here, but regardless that is no excuse for you to become like them. You changed alot from how you were in FBI awhile back. This is a final warning. Quit flaming and be professional.

I know it's totally retarded and I apologise, it was meant to be sarcastic. I'll be sure to use tags next time.

Anyways, I didn't have time to fully type out what I wanted as I had to go, so I'll do it with this post.

I've not changed since I was FBI, it's just that I'm active on the ARPD forums now. Perhaps I have been influenced by the people I work with, but who can be sure of that?

Most sergeants+ are pretty decent in everyday jobs but very few people can lead a proper tactical assault. SWAT has been trained for that stuff, but most operatives couldn't actually lead an assault so you shouldn't just randomly ask SWAT people for help. The best tactical assaulters I've seen are currently in a mafia and have either resigned from the PD or are heavily inactive regarding police work. Your second best bet would be your own initiative. If you think you could lead an assault or at the very least position SAPD members, do it. Initiative is always rewarded so don't hesitate to just take the matter into your own hands. Anyways, if the people that are just faffing about refuse to listen to you and even say something like 'you're an officer, you can't order me around' then just report them to the command staff.

Indeed!
But the most days are like that. ARPD is not the ARPD we used to know anymore, most cops are just lazy and relaxing and think licking someone's ass to earn something is much more important than saving a few lifes.(( Yeah! I'm the mad cop RPer))

This wish won't ever happen, but I hope there could be an official warning to all ARPD units.

SWAT members like 3+ I've noticed them taking part as criminals in the code 30, what happened at the Idlewood motel, this actually freaks me out of little.

We are allowed to take part in criminal activities unless our field commander/SWAT chief orders us not to.

Are we not allowed to have some fun? Would you rather have us resign from SWAT and be criminals 24/7? Would you like that? We've done it before.

I tried to set up an assault team.
Unfortunately, you was already busy with Ethan, so that's good.
But no one else responded, for damn's sake.
