Patrol Report with applicant Mark Linley.

3rd July 2010
Went on a brief patrol with Mark last night, he is a vivid driver and shows alot of potential within his driving. We managed to track down multiple suspects and bring them to justice which Mark played a very helpful role in. Roleplay skills seem to be in order when making traffic stops and shooting skills are great when needed.

Applicant has been accepted to SAPD in Wave #004
Your application has been accepted into the SAPD Cadet Academy - in this academy you will learn the core values and procedures that a SAPD Officer must learn and embrace to be able to be the absolute best he possibly can. You will be observed ingame by every member of the SAPD, so it is YOUR responsibility to act professionally at ALL times!

From the moment you are accepted onwards, you should be learning the regulations and procedures to be able to carry out your cop work to the absolute best of your ability - this will give you the skills and experience to make it into the SAPD and to continue to be the best cop you possibly can be. The SAPD is not for everyone, so checking out the regulations and procedures will also give you a chance to see whether or not you're cut out for the SAPD or not.

You are NOW a SAPD Cadet, and you are expected to behave and work in a respectful way to the General Public and your fellow police officers. Failure to do so could result in the termination of you from the SAPD.

The academy will consist of 9 sessions, one pre-exam exam and your officer exam, which can be given to you from any Academy Senior Member or SAPD Command Staff Member. (Lt +).

IMPORTANT! You must reply at LEAST once per week in your application topic to let us know how you're going or if you have any questions, or else you risk being rejected from the SAPD due to lack of interest. It's your responsibility to show your activity, NOT ours.

Contact a Captain+ Ingame for your badge.

Good luck in your steps to becoming an Officer!

Signed,
DPD Captain

Just a quick note on this officers performance that I witnessed today. Just advising to keep an eye out on him.

I was facing about 10 armed Mexicans on my own in East beach, shouting at them to get passports out etc. After them shouting back it was confirmed they were all illegal immigrants. At some point Mark came to back me up (first one there!), but then suspected one of them. Whilst I was shouting at them and trying to trap them/ ask for backup, Mark was threatening to shoot them with his sniper aimed at the crows on a roof. In the end Mark opened fire and started a shootout. (I did not shoot at them, so they were only shooting Mark, and he then took my Ranger - which was our only cover, drove away and blew up inside it from the shooting.) I told him to not shoot before he began to fire. Whether he shot first I do not know for sure (but thought he did)- however he was threatening and aiming at them. We were completely outnumbered and outgunned yet he still decided to fight and shoot, "killing" himself and getting me took hostage.

I eventually escaped with nothing but a katana after my guns and radio were captured, and many officers died from insufficient backup by both DPD and LSPD (LSPD training). After surviving 4 attacks i was eventually killed by clukin bell food (somehow died entering).

The only screen shot of situation is this: http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s256/jcstodds/sa-mp-145.png (the 10th guy is behind us on a roof).

So from this summary of the situation Mark, I just hope I can give you some advice to work on. Try resolve some criminal threats peacefully and with understanding. Aiming a gun is not best thing to do at 9 armed immigrants! Hopefully you come out of this situation with some good experience though!

Try be a bit less violent when criminals are willing to negotiate, and hopefully now you will realise that if you /su players, they are likely to kill you to defend themselves because they think you will just shoot them.

Good luck with your application and thanks for being the first to respond to my backup call!

Alright, I can explain whole situation and story. I responded to Sheriff Call, when I arrived I saw nine or eight Immigrants, one of them had AK-47(As you can see In picture). I shouted twice drop weapons, they Ignored an order and I took out Sniper to zoom and see what he's holding. Then one of them started aiming with AK-47, I suspected him because he Ignored the order and started threating, I didn't had weapon until he start aiming, properly. Then another guy start aiming with AK-47 too, and when I was watching with Sniper what they're doing - Distance was about twenty meters of course It was good distance to see clearly what they're doing. Then they suddenly open fire and I open bike, then started shootout. They were shooting only me and I had an cover, but somehow they shoot though car. I had about thirty HP left, and entered the rancher and started horning to Jcs, trying make something motions to get In and get out of here. But when he started getting In car it blow up and I died.
Whole report made OOC'ly situation

Tip #1: When outnumbered and outgunned 5:1 and a sniper behind you on a building, do not try ordering them in a serious way unless you have whiskey and a very sharp sword .
Tip #2: If for some reason you do feel you have the authority to order them and they ignore you: Don't suspect them! Try another tactic!
Tip #3: If your getting shot and the Sheriff next to you isn't, and he's just scratching his head whilst you run around trying to find cover, getting shot to pieces - one of you has done something wrong!
