Heard about it, don't get it. Meh, no use arguing against it. Just enforce it and you won't have to worry about it.

Look sharp, act sharp, be sharp. These guys comin' out of prison - they're buff, been on drugs. You do what they teach you in the academy, you will die. Knucklehead wants to take your gun, so if it's you or some 300-pound naked guy on PCP, you take his ass down any way you can - you ride with me, you back your badge.

Clarification on New Narcotic Related laws
« Reply #4 on: August 24, 2010, 04:49:24 am »
I guess I should clarify all this...

Growing weed is now Legal
Smoking weed in a private area (house) is Legal

Selling weed is Illegal
Smoking weed in public is Illegal
Producing Heroin is Illegal
Smoking Heroin is Illegal
Selling Heroin is Illegal

Now Any Cases that were opened on any people gangs or groups before the constitution was in-acted are still admissible in court. So if you were going to go against a gang for their weed dealings and you had evidence about the deals before the law was changed. It is still admissible in court. Now From now on you can not gather evidence about people growing weed because it is legal.

The Actual Law

Quote
Act II: Production, use, sale, distribution and possession of heroin is strictly prohibited. Production and possession of marijuana in public area is permitted. Use of marijuana in private is permitted. Use of marijuana, sale or distribution in public area is prohibited.

Police can still not grow weed on duty and never will be able to !!!

So Cops can grow and smoke weed in private?

Edit: It don't make any sense. Why is it not illegal to grow weed? You can only grow weed in weedfields which is public area. So you can grow weed at the weedfields but can't smoke it there?

WTF!!!! NO MORE FRISKING THEN?  Well there goes another good rp chance thrown out of the window.  But I have a feeling this will change.  You will see the criminals will start getting bored that cops don't frisk them anymore or don't even do shit about them growing weed.  They'll start to moan and beg for the old laws back

I want everyone to please calm down. Now I have spoken with my fellow Judges, this has come down from the Leadership of Argonath. Now after consulting them this was most likely a result of all the riots and stirring the criminal groups had tword this. You must think from the Criminal side of this Now that they have what they want they will get money.. but they wont be able to bait the cops anymore. If we are serous about rejecting this idea I see 2 options.

1. Protest

- Lead a city wide protest of cops refusing to work until the law is changed or re worked with the SAPD's view added.

2. Leave it as is

- Inevitably they will get bored of this and decide that the criminals want the old law's back.

I really hope this law does not change.

If the SAPD organised a protest against this new law then I'd be on the other side.

Hmm... I don't see your logic but I trust you well enough to know you must have a reason for saying that.

Growing weed is legal at this same moment?
or is it just an idea what might get in later?

as i still see a lot of cops suspecting for growing weed and all

If the SAPD organised a protest against this new law then I'd be on the other side.

that doesnt suprises me at all

As long as selling weed is still disallowed, I do not see much of a problem for us.
