Suggestion New rank
« on: December 12, 2010, 09:12:27 am »
Just a suggestion.. but what about the rank "RETIRED".

What should this rank do?
Nothing special, but it is somethink you can't lose (exept if you do things, that goes strickt into the ARPD laws)

Who can get those rank?
All (very) old officers --> chiefs. You need to serve the ARPD from some years. Mostly you get this rank because you quiet playing Argo or be inactive on the job. Not everyone who quiet playing Argo, or is inactive can get this rank. Only officers who DID something to the ARPD.

Why is this rank need?
It's is some kind of 'reward' for your servings inside the ARPD. Officer who moved the ARPD to better levels. Most of the time those are chiefs who served for a long long time. For exemple, CBFasi who would say one day: I retire. He did something with the ARPD who nobody did before. Otehr names comes in mind (Vince, Hank, ...) and other are chasing there steps, who doing very good things now... (note: I forgot a lot of names, I know, I have a cheesy mind)

What can this rank do?
Nothing special. They are equel at the rank 'officer'. Or if you want to put more effort in it: you can make a rank for each rank that exists now ("Retired officer", "retired senior officer" etc...

Who can give those rank(s)?
Only Chiefs and Presidents. THEY know who did something to the ARPD.

Discuse please

Agreed. Those who retire, but don't get fired or go inactive, should receive the rank, though. Failure to report your activity or being fired should be otherwise stripped of their rank since it's their fault in the first place.

It's got my vote. +1

A lil' something for those who've worked their ass off for the PD.

It should be called HONORARY not RETIRED. I'd vote for that.

There once was a rank for retired Chief, yet was removed since the one person who had it became the first Lt. Hank had it. ;)

It's a good idea, and honorary may be suitable. Yet would you guys prefer honorary "member", "officer", etc.. suggestions? Of course only if it is implemented.

Assuming we can actually get these ranks correctly cleaned up, *Cough*, then yes, I would love to see each one added, but I still say it should only be for those that retire on their own. Transfers to FBI and those fired/inactive should not receive it.

"Honorary SAPD Officer"  would be quite suitable, I do like the idea.

Hehe, perhaps we can have "Disgracefully discharged SAPD Officer" for the opposite- the guys who left SAPD never to return

Also you could add a "Sheriff" rank just for the convenience...

Actually a subrank that is not able to be seen by anyone except Chiefs, Deputy Chiefs, Captains, and Administrators called "Unable To Apply (<Server name here>) would be a good idea to keep track of them. That way they can't scam their way back in. You could even use it to remove their access of viewing the Applications board, except the Rejected ones, of course!

LOL hahaha that made my day

Indeed though, as Jack said first thing is first.. getting the forum cleaned up. :)

EDIT: More simple way is to just add that to their custom title Sugar as they cannot edit that anyway, and if they post an application it will be seen
