[LCPD] Ten Codes and Hundred Codes the same

Hey!

When I looked at LCPDs radio codes, I saw something strange

Hundred codes:
211 - Robbery [Level 1,2,3,4]

Past /In progress Crime:
10-30  Robbery

What is the meaning with this? Just a mistake or what's it. I would like to have a explination to clearify this, thanks in advance

211 = Big robbery if i am right, so means, 211 5 = Big-big-big Robbery

10-30 seems to be something that the LCPD staff came up with themselves.

A 211 is a well known hundred code that stands for armed robbery. 211 splits into 211 red and 211 blue.

Different areas in the USA (and the rest of the world) use different codes.
If I am correct one code is derived from LAPD (SAPD) the other from NYPD (LCPD).

211 4 = Action most take ASAP, situation in progress  211 5 should be interested what it should mean but probaly what you wrote ^^

in SAPD yes, LCPD splits their codes up to Level 1 / 2 / 3 / 4.

But what's the point to have 211 and 10-30? It means the same just at a 211 call you must add which level it's on.

The "211" code will be used when reporting thefts.
We use levels, not colors, correct.

Level 5 is a lapsus.

LCPD Radio codes list have been fixed according to the NYPD Signal codes.

Correct. The LAPD codes for the most part are actually state-wide in California, so "211" is actually used by all agencies and departments in the state. Many other states tend to follow a semi-universal set of codes, such as Code 4 meaning All Clear, 10-4 meaning Understood, etc., but they also vary in other areas of the list.
