Perhaps you don't realise this, but it makes you feel bloody shamed when you are fired or "demoted".

The changes that have been made so far look very promising and are a huge step forward. I thank Jaaskaa and everyone else who is responsible for the changes that have already been made, and I hope that the changes to come will be as revolutionary and wise as the ones that were made.

The beginning of where we left off.

For -some- who decided to leave or were forced to leave : Stay polite and try to represent your views and opinions in a mature way, not like this.

There will be a triple change this weekend, at different levels. You might wake up a morning with a different rank... I am not sorry about it, because I am only doing my job. Do yours and we will live happy forever. Yes you might get angry or sad and might want to quit SAPD. But think about it! It is not because your rank was removed today that it means we don't want you there. It will be removed because for the moment we can't keep you in the position. Your department might get altered or dissolved. Expect it. You might get promoted too. If needs arise.

Jaaskaa isn't the ARPD Commisioner for no reason. He has done remarkable things and these changes are not because Jaaskaa thinks it's fun. The changes is done for reasons, reasons that can stay unknown or be present, not our choice.

As Jaaskaa said, "The very least I can expect is your support. We shouldn't stop in front of a challenge, we should work together to get the best out of it. ". Currently your are showing him your finger and says he's shit. Indeed, it's not fun to get demoted but by my experiences with Jaaskaa isn't the demotions unjustified.

Fellas, if it wasn't for a promise I made regarding DPD a long time ago, I'd be posting a transfer request to SFPD to help them out. Stay loyal, and Jaaskaa will recognise that. Who knows? Maybe he demoted people he wanted to promote, to test if they were actually loyal?

As a SAPD Officer (or above)...  one of the first responsibilities you have is to lead by example. Everyone should look up to SAPD Officers in terms of respect, experience and skill and SAPD command should be selfless, responsible and provide guidance to the whole of SAPD.

  And what I see, is quitting and giving up because of demotion of a rank or award or whatever.

Way to lead by example there guys... good message being given out.      So I'm thinking at the moment, if you left cause of this, then you most likely did not have the appropriate qualities or you had a bad attitude towards your rank.

  But anyway. As a leader you should not work for yourself, you should work for everyone else in SAPD. So really I do not understand why everyone is so upset. Nothing has changed, you can still form SWAT groups, you can still lead - or are you scared you cannot lead unless you have a shiny rank?
