VICE CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT
Rank Descriptions

Chief of Police ()
  • The Chief of Police of the department is the highest rank within the Vice City Police Department. The Chief serves
under the ARPD Commissioner and the President of Argonath, acting as a manager for the Police Department. The Chief has
complete control over the department in its' functions, operations, structure, and staff. Everything in the department is forwarded
to the Chief for review and acceptance.

Deputy Chief of Police ()
  • The Deputy Chief of Police is second in charge of the entire department, serving under the Chief of Police.
The Deputy Chief reports directly to the Chief, conducts day-to-day operations in the department, and is also the primary
leader of administrative affairs. The Deputy Chief takes charge when the Chief of Police is absent.

Captain ()
  • Captain's act as division leaders of the department, typically assigned to a specific part of the department. Captain's can
be assigned to basic patrol, serve as an assistant in administrative matters, or lead a specialized division. They are role models
for Lieutenants and Sergeants who wish to further their career.

Lieutenant ()
  • Lieutenant's are assistants to Captain's, and can take a division leadership role in the absence of a Captain. They lead
basic day to day operations, are in charge of the supervisory team, and are considered as command staff. The Lieutenant role
is an important role, as they are the closest command role to regular officers.

Sergeant ()
  • The rank of Sergeant is the sole supervisory, non-command rank. These officers have proven themselves on the field,
are capable of leading regular patrol operations, and have shown to have a superb attitude towards policing. They assist officers
in need, help train members, and are leaders of all patrol functions on the field.

Senior Officer ()
  • Considered as trained professionals, Senior Officers are veteran members of the department. These officers have enhanced
their skills during their tenure in the department, and can train new officers and cadets with the information and experience
they have gained during their career in the department.

Police Officer
  • Graduates from the police academy, these officers are newer to the field, and have just finished their training from the
department. They need to be guided and gain experience within the department. Typically, Police Officers are the primary
students of Senior Officers who wish to share their experience and skills.
