Argonath RPG Traffic Authority - (ARTA)
"Road safety since 2014"

Welcome to the ARTA Topic! We have just re-opened ARTA and we are happy with that. This re-opening was allowed by the Chief of Police. A lot of officers have assisted in that. As a division, we have a lot of different ranks. Let's hope after a while we have developed a lot as a division. Please note that we are an unofficial police division. We follow SAPD orders at all times.  We also have different duties (Noted below).

- Routine Traffic Stops
- Traffic Patrolling
- Assisting in persuits
- Blocking roads on request during emergencies (e.g. Fires, MVA's etc)
- Escorting people in certain circumstances
- Assisting in road constructions

ARTA Rank Structure


Traffic Commander
Commander of the division, this person has absolute power over the whole of ARTA.


Deputy Traffic Commander
Second in charge of the division. Almost has absolute authority and takes alot of important decisions within the division.


Traffic Instructor
This rank allows you to train other people within the division. This rank can act by itself and give orders to lower ranked people within the division.


Traffic Trooper
This is the lowest rank of the ARTP Command. They do not have a lot of control, but can act by themselves.


Senior Traffic Officer
A person that knows all the traffic laws, and is expected to do a reasonable amount of paperwork for the division.


Junior Traffic Officer
A person that has knowledge about the main traffic laws. This person is ready to begin his career at ARTA


Cadet
A person who has just started his career within ARTA. He/she has a lot to learn coming time and is under training.

OFFICIAL CADET TRAINING FOR ARTA

Here, I am, hereby, stating what a Traffic Instructor needs to know and teach and what a Cadet needs to know in order to pass his Junior Traffic Officer exam.

Chapter 1: DRIVING SCHOOL RULES

As a Traffic Instructor, you must know what you have been taught in the driving school. If you don't remember, here is a list with what you need to know.

1. SPEED LIMITS

You must know the speed limits in the state of Argonath. They are the following:
-80 km/h in cities
-120 km/h outside cities
-unlimited on highways

2. PARKING RULES

In order to park properly, you must know the following:
-if you need to park, first, you look for a parking lot
-if there is no parking lot, park on the side of the road: 80% on the sidewalk, 20% on the road
-NEVER park in front of state buildings. (Sometimes, it is an exception, such as: Police vehicles can park in front of police departments, but civilian vehicles can't).

3. EMERGENCY VEHICLES

If you hear an emergency vehicle, you must pull over and let it pass. DO never get in front of it or ram it, it is an emergency.

4. PHONE RULES

If you are driving and your phone is ringing or you receive a SMS, DON'T IMMEDIATELY proceed to take your phone. You must get to the side of the road (pull over) and then check your phone. In this way, you'll not cause any problems to the traffic.

Chapter 2: ROAD BLOCKADES

1. ROAD BLOCKADES STRUCTURE

You must know how to create a blockade. In the following images, I'll explain this:

You must get one, 2 or even more police vehicles, depending on the road's width.

Park the police vehicles like in this picture.

The animation used for the road blockades is /trafanim. In this picture, we're telling drivers to not GO where the blockade was put. For this, we use /trafanim 1.

2. ROAD BLOCKADES PURPOSES

If you want to make a road blockade, you NEED to HAVE A VALID REASON. The following reasons might be considered valid:
1. - MVA's (Motored Vehicle Accidents), such as car/motorbike accidents or even plane crashes.
2. - Road construction. (Note: This is mostly done by the Argonath Road Administration, but might be done by police too, if ARA requires their help)
3. - Bombs, fires or other public threats.
4. - Used to block suspects in a certain area.
