Well, the member list aint exactly 100% correct though. Not all of those in the lest really were a part of SRU, according to Ben Samiir. :) And you missed like 5 players
Anyways, SRU was good times, as long as you were not a criminal though.

Sadly I lost the pictures of the day when Gandalf made us SWAT, good times.

The founding of SRU had good intentions and sadly as newer generations joined the server and were given chances within' the ranks of this elite policing group the original vision was lost. I can say I am proud to be a founding member of SRU back with Ben Samiir and serving as the very first Charlie Team Leader. The beginning was great, we had our ups and downs but that is expected with every group. It's a shame we couldn't keep it alive with good standing. The history of the group and the people that were in it are truly the elite members both past and present within' the ARPD, and seeing some of these old videos and pictures brings back loads of memories of the good times we had. However, times change and you have to adapt accordingly and that's where SRU lost it's way, as unfortunate as it was, I think the SAPD learned valuable lessons and has helped us reach where we are today.

@diddeh Those photos... The legend himself walks among them... If only I could speak with the man... The knowledge you could learn...

SRU does seem like a badass division but kind of the bad badass; They do seem cool among SAPD but sadly the rest of the server (Community) saw them in a different light and that's what led to it's demise...

I must admit that having 20+ Officers standing outside the bank due to a bank robbery seems pretty cool. I can only remember one bank robbery in RS5 when I was in AirDiv temporarily... It was a blast.

The thing was, people got the wrong image of us. I can easily say we were the strongest group on the server. I think we never lost a gun fight against anyone, ever. And that certainly made some people angry, called us non-rpers and all kind of shit. But the people who actually RP'ed with us of course we did the same, we had a good relationship with inferno 9 and often had alot of fun RP's with them. But other groups just saw us as NON-rping combat shotgun fagg*ts because that was basicly what happend most times - They were suspects, we caught them, they start shooting - They end up dead and start flaming.

Couldn't agree more.
