ARTP/BCSD history
« on: December 07, 2014, 11:07:08 am »
Inspired by the topic that was made regarding SRU, I've decided to create one for Argonath Traffic Police and Bone County Sheriffs Department. These groups might not be veteran and as known as SRU was, but for these who were around back then it left quite a mark in their memory.

In 2011, a group that was about to successfully exist for two years and bring a new kind of police roleplay into Argonath was born. The idea of opening a police group that would be solely dedicated to traffic roleplay came up on Max_Pain's mind, who soon has found a congenial partner and opened the group. Upon few days of existance, the group has received quite some attention from new officers, who wanted to gain some expierence before joining official groups such as SAPD and/or FBI. Two leaders, Max_Pain and Damon_Smith have led the group to success, gaining quite a number of members. However, soon enough, a dispute between these two commanders broke out and Damon Smith resigned from his position, leaving Max_Pain to lead the group alone.
Not long after, a past friend of Max, who has returned after quite some time of inactivity, discovered ARTP and was taken in to help Max deal with the group. However, during a very short period of time, he hsa found himself banned from the server for violation of rules that I can no longer remember. Max was again left alone, however, with now a considerable amount of staff to lead.
The group successfully kept on existing, with Steven82 now helping Max to lead the organisation. A great number of new members was gained during that period, and we kept on doing what we loved most - traffic roleplay.
ARTP was unique, because it did not go after random suspects unless it was C30. We focused only on traffic supervision and chased only those suspects, who either evaded a traffic stop or were wanted for traffic related felonies.
However, soon, the group has started expierencing dark days. Its' most active members suddenly went inactive, and Steven82 reported inactivity as well. As hard as Max tried, he couldn't get enough people to keep the group running properly, so after few hard months of trying to get the group back on its feet, it died, and its members found themselves chasing for SAPD carreers. Max decided to re-open the group soon, with a whole new bunch of staff, and now he had a new friend to help him with it - [ADF]Abby_Steinberg. She became a co-leader and the both of them have successfully lead the group to success, acquiring yet the biggest member count the group ever had. These were the golden days of ARTP. Various figures, whose names are still well known among the Argonathians, joined, those being Argonath veterans such as Dean_Callaghan (Then known as Mike Aly), Adam.Cipone (Later known as [BCSD]Marshal_Lopez until he was community banned), Ivan.Cipone (Still around with the same name, plays IVMP now, though.), Haythem (Still around, a criminal). Those are the ones I can remember, it has been some time. After earning great respect from various ARPD organisations, the group once again started feeling a downfall. The recruitment started to hurt, and more and more people started leaving ARTP due to not being able to manage their both SAPD and ARTP duties. One day, ARTP Commander Max_Pain and ARTP Traffic Officer Adam.Cipone were driving around Los Santos and discussed what to do. They came to a conclusion that traffic police is not neccessary, as SAPD seemed to slowly overtake ARTP duties and focused on traffic once again, and that ARTP should be reformed into something else, and thus another, greater group, one of the most successful unnoffical departments still to this date, was born.

Then the period of BCSD followed (which will be told about below) and after the BCSD's closure, lots of its' members found themselves lost, unsure of what to do. However, in 2012, former BCSD Sheriff Max_Adams and the former BCSD Senior Deputy, [NP]Lionel.Valdes, have re-opened ARTP. ARTP was acting under very tough conditions. SAPD no longer allowed unofficial groups to recruit SAPD members or officers that have applied to SAPD, which have really hurt our recruitment. However, we have yet somehow managed to turn the group into something even better than the previous ARTP's. We managed to yet once again gain a great member list with great and expierenced officers, such as [WS]PulseEffect, Dario.Cipone, that are still around to this day. The group was doing very well, but was soon forced to close due to certain disputes within the group and the hurt recruitment.

The last attempt to re-open ARTP in 2013 was not as significant as others. The group became alive again, but not for a long time, reason of that being the ARPD policies towards unofficial groups. The original idea was to re-open BCSD under another name - San Andreas State Rangers, but that attempt failed horribly, and therefore, the group was re-formed into ARTP. The group was short lived, however, and did not survive for too long.

During the periods the group has operated, it has achieved a lot. It was respected within the SAPD and ARPD, it successfully co-operated with the FBI and was recognized by a lot of players a great group, focusing on their goals. We worked very hard to earn respect for that name, so I guess you should understand why I freaked out so much when in 2014, few low-ranked ex. ARTP officers tried to re-open the group and turned it into a complete mess. It's understandable. The group had respect, traditions, and those guys stole them from us, using the respect we earned for their own gain.

Bone County Sheriffs Department
(the logo is gone :()

In 2011. 31st of October, ARTP was reformed into BCSD, a group that was to leave a mark in the community for many years to come.
It sarted when Max_Pain and Adam.Cipone were discussing how to save ARTP from the activity issue it has come accross, and decided that ARTP is to become Bone County Sheriffs Department. It was now lead by Sheriff [BCSD]Max and Assistant Sheriff [BCSD]Adam (later known as [WS]Marshal_Lopez and promoted to Sheriff). It soon gained a great gain of members, has formed one of the best recruitment, ranking and academy systems and started functioning just like an official SAPD department, even though it was nothing but an unofficial ARPD group. A lot of people who have now achieved a lot in the SAPD had the peak of their ARPD carreers inside BCSD - BCSD Deputy Def Perry, BCSD Captain and BCSD-SRT leader Dean Callaghan, BCSD Assistant Sheriff BenThePenguin, BCSD Leuteinant Celso Kolta, BCSD Senior Deputy Kostas, BCSD Captain Flamer Wakefield.
The group was successfully doing their job, covering the jurisdriction of Bone County and Tierra Robada. The success of BCSD was so influential, that soon SAPD have opened their own county departments, which, in BCSD's opinion, were opened to compete with them, as BCSD was pretty much leading the Northern Area's. However, LVPD much more relied on BCSD than the suffering, two men department, BCPD, and none of these county departments have achieved the level we have. We part took in LVPD operations, Northern Command ceremonies, cooperated with the LVPD. We opened investigation cases, had various subdivisions, badge numbers and our own teamspeak we used. We even had our own mod packs that other officers were dying to have :D. Soon we started solidarising with BCPD, agreeing to get invitiations, join SAPD and become members of BCPD, helping them not to die out, and a process of BCSD-BCPD merge has begun, however, unsuccesfully half-way, as I, disagreeing with Sheriff's Adams' methods, whom a lot of staff has supported (soon to turn out because he gave them ranks in a roleplay server away from Argonath), left the department, only to see it forcefully closed by SAPD and Adam community banned for using BCSD to recruit players to his faction in a roleplay server.. And that was it.. The end.. And most ex. members of BCSD stil live by a bitter memory of its existance and unfortunate end, wishing that once these days would come back.
