Undercover rights
« on: June 05, 2009, 16:07:58 pm »
Well done.......

The few that have abused this feature that they have been issued with means I have been asked to REMOVE this right from SAPD.

My alternative is EVERY officer who has these rights WILL loose them and will have to re-apply.

I will also be tightening up who can issue these rights to SAPD Chiefs ONLY.

The persons I have had complaints about by senoir admins are NOT even on out list of those that have been given the rights..

Yep new feature RUINED by a few..

Thanks a LOT

There's an excellent quote which fits well to the situation.

Techinically ALL can apply, but most will get refused.

Honestly ONLY apply if you had them before, but that has NO certainty of getting them back.

Yes it may suck for some groups but it didnt exist in RS3 !!

And yes SOME members of them groups may even be the CAUSE of this review

Why in the hell would someone abuse their undercover rights?

Expected to be abused... Still I'm shocked that the few who get the rights, abuse it. Same as this: patrolling in a car with 'LSPD' written on it, while undercover... Very useful!

I can't remember who it was, but just a little while ago, I was in a Shootout and an Undercover came in the mix without showing his badge. Confused the hell out of me when I tried to suspect him.

I think all patrol officers should get a list of people who can use it. Everyone I stop its "I am undercover FBI, I was speeding with a reason".

Just use /rank. If they're lying take a screenshot and report it on the forums.

Cannot, cops who don't have UC rights cannot see who have UC rights.

Tell them to /showbadge .

That are needed all time.

  • As you shooting.
  • As pulling over.
  • As a officer/agent pulling you over.

Well I did not know there was a command, if it is legit what will it show me as the officer? I pull "Uncover" FBI Agents all the time apperently. I walk up to the car and I see /me shows badge. Depending on the infraction I will continue with the stop and try to ascertain more information. 1 FBI did abuse his rights on a stop and was cop banned so I never know who is who you know? Really if they are in a unmarked civilian car they should not be speeding all over town, if so very solemnly. Thats why I just think an offical list would be nice. We have a officer reference guide for all SACS officers with this kind of information on it, ie. Approved lawyers. Would be nice to have added and updated.
Thanks,
Jacob
